LOL< I don't love giving my secrets away, so i guess i won't do this particular thing again~

Basically the night polls were discussion generators, and thats it. The first night 4 people were picked at random, after that, I subtracted those who had been in chat from the random pool, and rerandomized until I had less than 4, and rerandomized from the whole group. The only time it was NOT random was after the A Team came into play, since Rox had never been in a group before dying, she went into the next group, and the other people in the group were random.

In a prior game I had a similar mechanic, but actually based it on the night results, and it accidentally cast suspicion on a baddie, which was not her fault, but only the fault of the poll, so i decided not to do that again.

But it is a fairly common mechanic, i have seen mystery roles in several games, hosts have different ways to use mystery roles. Some have mystery roles with dedicated players, some from the opening of the game, and some assigned as the game goes along.

She was the first NKed civvie.

Just Roxy was the A Team, llama was not. First NK civ. I mentioned Rox & llama together in the post game becasue they were at each others throats the whole game, and they were Duct & Swiss, a team without BTS in the game. Swiss picked a power from a list for Duct to use the next night, and Duct picked a target. It was interesting, they were so suspicious of each other, yet were working together behind the scenes. Not knowing she was Duct, and dead, llama kept sending in the powers, of course. Had a member of the other bad team been lynched, she would have gotten her swiss powers back as the A Team.

Well, your win conditions as an Indy were "Alive at the End", you only had to survive. Had she found you rather than BWT, then YOU would have been the baddie. There were a lot of possibilities in this game, but Penny being recruited by the baddies was one I did not expect (they recruited way earlier than I thought they would, given that the power was "recruit or rezz"). I expected Penny to have found you or BWT by then.

Actually, BWT was a civvie for several days, but like 2 days after he got back from being out of town, Kate found him.

And yeah, the civvies for the most part went after each other. It was really fun watching this game, it was fast moving, and you all were awesome players, really getting into the spirit of things. I think I am going to do a full game "80's Mafia", I had forgotten how much corny, cheesy goodness was in that decade~ I was (obviously) very distracted by it in this game, lol. But i had tons of fun hosting, Thank You all for being such fun players

You are the Man

You have a list of powers to choose from each night (you must go through the list in full before using a power a second time) UNLESS Penny finds you. Further instructions will be sent in the event that that happens~

You will NOT be told if Swiss or Penny dies.

Your list will go out tomorrow. In addition, I am willing to entertain suggestions as to potential powers. Nothing too crazy, it is a speed game

Swiss Army Knife~ llama

Macs BFF~ sends messages to MacGyver periodically and goes into crisis mode should Penny find the bomb before she finds MacGyver *secret*
Once in a cycle (a cycle consists of a Day and a Night) you send a message to MacGyver. It can be whatever you want to say, EXCEPT you cannot out yourself.

The role of Penny searches for MacGyver every night. If she finds him, they will join forces, and MacGyver will gain a night kill. You cannot be killed by MacGyver if he gains the kill. Should she find the Bomb, however, you will receive further instructions at that time.

In addition, you will be given a list of powers once the game thread is up. Each night (including Night Zero) you will pick a power from the list, and that power is the power Duct Tape uses the next night. Each one must be used once before a repeat use of a power will be allowed.

Duct Tape~ Roxy Does whatever Swiss Army knife cannot. Each day Swiss chooses the power Duct wields the next night~ if Swiss dies, the last power Duct has is permanent.

Ball of Twine ~ Russtifinko

Holds things together when they are falling apart. Stops or switches a lynch once in the game

You can switch a lynch to whomever you wish; they do not need to have a vote. If you choose to stop a lynch, not switch it, then no one will be lynched.

Chewing Gum~ LittleTiger

stops air (and other gasses) from escaping when applied; so stops the nearly dead from being really dead, and rezzes one NKed player once in the game.

The Mullet~ boo

MacGyvers tousled, highlighted Mullet looks perfect at all times. Attackers are blinded by its perfection~ Mullet lives through the first NK or Lynch, and can protect another player with its glory nightly.

Assorted Chemicals~ INH

have assorted effects, unknown to the player. May stop night once in the game; however, there is a 25% chance the chemicals may have the opposite effect, multiplying night powers by two (all people who have night targets will have 2 the next night), or may stop the day once (with a 25% chance the votes will be turned on the people who cast them), OR may just PM "random" to the host one time in the game, and a random target will be hit with a random power (but there is a 75% chance the random target will not be a civvie) in addition to that nights regularly scheduled targeting.

Paper Clip~ He Man

paper clips can be made into endless tools to stop whatever nefarious plot the baddies have in mind; blocks nightly

Magnifying Glass~ Allalongtheboardwalk

can see things others miss; can see who targeted a specific player that night

Chemistry Book~ reywaS

Many things can be learned with SCIENCE The chemistry book gives a lecture in the thread each day. Do the facts come from the host, or the books author? No one knows~

It can be posting effects (like Insanity, or posting in Pictures, or smilies, or French, or Swedish Chef (Bork!) or song lyrics or whatever) or it can be actions (make a case against someone, they must post suspicions of everyone, They must mention every player by name in every post, etc). If you have an idea, run it past me, I am very flexible with my Witch Doctors. This is a chaos role, creative is good

In this incarnation of your role, your win conditions are "Alive at the End". You can win with baddies or civvies.

The other Indi, Penny, searches for Mac Gyver every night. If she finds YOU instead, however, or if MacGyver is NKed, she joins you and then you become a Serial Killer team, you gain a nightly kill and your win conditions change to Last Man Standing; you or Penny or both MUST kill everyone else to win.

Every Night Penny searches for MacGyver~ if she finds him, awesomeness ensues. If she finds Ticking bomb, not so much. You cannot be NKed

If you find MacGyver, you gain BTS, and become a civ Ninja team. You can inherit the kill.

If you find the bomb, you become an Indi SK team, last man standing (you both would win together, dead or alive, standard SVS conditions).

You will not be given your results on a daily basis, only if contact has been made.

Both baddie teams had a recruit~ just not someone with BTSC. Kate (Penny) did not have BTS when they recruited her. But she could still keep searching.

That team, Juliets & Dex, was very lucky, and the other baddies (recruit reywaS, BTW) was very unlucky/

All i have to say, is that every chance they had to protect someone, the civvies protected...Juliets. And Llama & Roxy (aka, the A Team) I would like to introduce you, Swiss & Duct Tape.

The Magnifying Glass looked hard for clues, but alas, it failed to find anything of significance. Had it found something, ANYTHING, to distract from the suspicion it carried, perhaps it could have saved itself. Alas, that was not the case.

Flyin High has been lynched~ she was the Magnifying Glass.

The Swiss Army Knife and the Ball of Twine huddled together in the duffel bag. MacGyver had not been around for days, and the other tools in the bag had all one by one disappeared, and not returned. They were alone.

At first, when the bag opened, and they saw the light gleaming on his mullet, they were happy. Then they saw the look in his eyes....and then they saw the woman behind him. She did not look like she had much use for twine & tools.

So even though she suspected INH, she was pleasantly surprised to be a civvie again

reywaS was sad~ he was speaking his native language, but apparently no one understood him. He walked down the hall to the room he was staying in on the ship, and, amazingly, ran into someone he knew. He was a bit blinded by the gleam of the reflection of the fluorescent light flashing off the persons hair, but he knew who it was, and was about to say something, when all of the light went out for good.

Yes, they are. Both LT & Roxy would have been removed from the poll the day LT came back except Roxy was dead, so it was unlikely she would have received any votes anyhow.

He sat down next to reywaS, who was sniffing his drink with a wrinkled nose. Dex said, "Almonds? Mine smelled funny too, maybe its the water? I am gonna get a beer in a bottle, no funny stuff that way".

OK, heres the deal. I am going to try to bring the post back a bit earlier tonight. Then the Day Phase is going to be 48 hours for this one day~ I am baby sitting my two autistic nieces tomorrow, and online time will be out of the question (as will phone, while non verbal, like all 8 & 10 year old girls, there is nothing they love more than playing with a smartphone, lol) and I will try to have the Lynch Post for that Day end a bit closer to 7:30 Eastern on Monday.

After the recent death of Roxy, MacGyver knew he had to pay more attention to secret agent stuff, and less to socializing and to his undercover work as a cruise director.

He was walking down a corridor when he heard a soft creak behind him. He turned around and saw an incredibly insane and overly made up face leering at him from just inches away!! It was quite horrible, the make up special effects back in the day just were not what they are today.

Macgyver struggled with the man, and they had quite the action scene in the corridor. Soon, however, the other players tired of this and converged on the man with the weird fake looking scars on his face. It was all quite cheesy.

Roxy was having such a good time~ who ever would have guessed MacGyver would be such an awesome cruise director? He had walked amongst the passengers, and had asked what band they would most like to listen to for an entire evening, and they had picked the Beatles!! She was so surprised; she expected it to be a hot current band, like Whitesnake, Duran Duran or maybe Guns N' Roses or Cinderella, but they had picked her favorite band of all time.

She had had maybe a few too many, and when the hooded figure pushed her, she slipped and rolled right off the edge of the deck, and the splash she made as she hit the water could not be heard over the loud, yet somehow tinny, reel to reel sound system on board the Pacific Princess, technology second to none. She floated off into the night, still smiling, never to be seen again. The Hit man slipped off into the night.
