Nobody is actually getting lynched for an ice cream flavor vote so even Michelle/Sig saying "Bet there's a scum here in the vanilla voters" could be the barest of distancing. Not that I think either of them is necessarily scum with a vanilla voter, just that I wouldn't even rule that out, it's such a nothing thing.
In the culture I came from (and our hosts came from, too) factions benefiting from poll options was very much a thing, and sometimes some faction members knew if they benefited from a specific option beforehand. But I know that was going out of vogue when I last played what with the influx of people from different cultures. So we'll see if there are any known results from this poll. I just bring it up as a thing to keep in mind.
I am also curious to know what others from that background think as well. But in any case, I will not be so quick to dismiss it.
Second, it correlates to the two posts I quoted above it, from Chuck and Jack. Of the 5 vanilla voters, they put no thoughts into the thread about their votes, Chuck moreso than Jack; Chuck just dropped his vote without any reason or discussion. If Zero polls with meaning are not common anymore, then maybe their votes mean nothing in particular. If they were more common, though, I would not expect a whole team to vote for them. Same would go for the three Pistacio voters. So, third, it’s a good way to start discussion on this topic, since I seem not to be the only one whose eye was caught by the vanilla voters.
