What do you make of specifically the progression of falcon voting Kate first and then jumping to nutella?

Both of those votes felt pretty opportunistic to be tbh, and I have seen Falcon make omgus votes as town. And at least Kate gave a reason, as opposed to:

I don't know how many had voted nutella had at that time; self pres could have come into it.

At this time I'm going to [VOTE: Wilgy] aubergine

I <3 Whimsy Wilgy, but I need Prof Wilgy to help me sort this all out, and hope this vote will bring him out.

nutella wrote: Fri Apr 07, 2023 11:59 pm It was opportunistic lol the problem here is that opportunism is not actually scummy as often as people like to paint it as such

This is why I always wolf read Nutella. She says stuff like this lol

I ran into a run of Falcons posts during the time when he was taking votes, and his reactions seemed reasonable. I read back, and I liked the way he poked Dennis a bit, even though I thought Dennis word choice issue wasn't AI. If I had to put him in a list, I wouldn't town core Falcon over his ISO, but he'd be in the upper-middle of the middle group. But definitely not in the red.

MacDougall wrote: Fri Apr 07, 2023 9:08 pm I'm never rescinding my nutella wolfread.
Is this tone, "lack of fire" mainly? You voted her in your first post, when she had made only 2 posts, both total OT. Would you (who have played with her much more recently overall than I have, I'm sure her game has changed and my experience of her is outdated for the most part) have expected her to have been MORE involved in the Zero lolcattery than she was?

Also, after reading both of you, I get what you mean about the WIM thing, esp when I contrast her more enthusiastic GOC. I also would think after you told her that fairly early in Day One that she would have tried to WIM it up a bit?

So I could see it but I have seen "meh whatever" kinda Nutella as a civ too.

Kate wrote: Fri Apr 07, 2023 8:20 pm I'm just caught up again, glad this is a slowing game. I'm tempted to vote falcon too, usually he'd be in here making a case as civ falcon and the lack of that has me eyeballing. I'm just starting to be able to read him a tiny bit. Him not being here doesn't help my progress.

I'll lay a vote here and try to get him to come out and play.

[VOTE: falcon] aubergine

Of the votes on my wagon, this one is the most opportunistic.

[VOTE: kate] aubergine
Having read back, a bit of the shine is off of Kate for me. Still in the top half, but I agree with Falcon that this looked opportunistic. BUT this is also a vote I am not sure that bad Kate would make, because she'd worry about looking opportunistic (bad Kate worries ALOT), whereas town Kate does not; she's a lot more fearless than bad Kate. So I still think she's town, but there is a tiny bit of doubt.

I am not seeing Professor Wilgy as of yet, or other things I associate with town Wilgy, so I won't be sheeping his vote based on trust.

TSP posted exactly once. And it was on D0, so no, they didn't post today.
The last time I played with him, he was mostly a no show until he pretty much wasn't. Then he came in with a spot on "Player X bad lol" post and was on the money. So don't know if he added much to the towns solve rate there since the bads won that game, but is this his norm, good or bad? He's still at only one.

Re: Hotdog Fingers Mafia [Day 1]

Oh great, the two leading wagons are people I have issues sorting. Just read the last page so far. So Neon is voting Nutella because she is sheeping Falcon, even though she prolly thinks Nutellas's town? Is Rondo voting her cause she kinda bah humbugged his "Happy Happy Joy Joy" routine?

I'll have to read back to find out. But It's super unlikely I'll vote for Nutella, unless there is a super case out there not based on tone or gut reads, because I *always* wolf read her, so my take on her is not reliable.

Also need to ISO read Kate and Wilgy, as well as the thread as a whole, to see why they're voting Falcon. I don't recall much of what either of them said before I was last here. Having voted to elim him in t/t scenarios more than once, and having watched his Day one as a wolf in a w/w scenario, I still have issues telling his games apart. So if my vote goes there, it'll be because I'm sheeping someone i trust. I had good feels about a few people, lets see if they pan out.

I feel pretty good about Kate, her reaction to being at the bottom of nutellas list felt towny to me. I don't recall much of anything from Wilgy. As of my last post, I had good feels about Porscha, Dennis, Windward and Sean, mostly based on feels.

I'll be here most of the day.

Not trying to limit or tell you not to do it, just noting it felt a little forced to me
OK. It felt that way to me at the time, you seemed to be wanting to suspect people who wanted to talk about it, BUT historically I pretty much always baddie read you. So this was a weak poke response to your weak poke.

Thank You!

I recall a few years back, before I went on break, there was some discussion of a No Yeet poll option, some for some not.

In your opinion, does this benefit town, or the wolves, in general? Like after a feel good day like we had here, this could be an attractive option, but is it a wise one?

Do we use it when we can't come to consensus? Cause it seems like it could be fairly easily manipulated, especially in later days.

Re: Hotdog Fingers Mafia [Day 1]

After the rainbows and sunshine Day Zero, I'm having issues seeing anyone as sinister tbh. Hrm.

Could be Sean is trying to not so much get reactions from people whose names he throws out, but reactions from other people reactions to the suspicion, and to him making it, if that makes sense.

I think it makes sense. Maybe.

Either that or its the classic "throw shit and see what sticks" ploy. So far I''m leaning the first.

Personally, I would like to do this every game; we all have the same psychotic hobby and spend alot of time together. This has been nice, lolcatting before we murder each other ha ha

I hope it isn't AI. But if he did come up with this as a wolf, it's pretty stellar, shielding himself with the goodwill he created.

OH OH! WHAT is your favourite extreme sport? OR book if you dont have one

MINE is Rock climbing, not that extreme I GUESS BUT I get to jump around like a MONKEY
I don't watch many sports, mainly only Baseball, on TV. But live extreme sports can be fun, I went to a Highland Games once and that was amazing to watch, I'd like to do that again someday. I like some car racing, but the kind where they just circle a track over and over for hours is hella boring.

I used to do mountaineering and some rock climbing, but I had a knee injury so now I just stick to hiking.

I love sci fi in general, but the one book I always come back to is Dune.
