Ultimately, town was never going to come together to win this one. The first reason was all the inactivity, and the second was all the conversions. Ultimately, if you give a town role the chance to change alignment they're not gonna play that as town, they'll play it closer to independent survivor. This essentially made the entire town reliant on me and Wilgy to carry it, and the true significance of our roles wasn't obvious at the start of the game. Further, if everyone else can change their roles but the two of us are stuck with what we started with, it feels like we were essentially given a harder rand to start with. I think it goes to show why alignment-changing is not considered a balanced mechanic even absent of bastardry like cults, as cohesion is important for a faction to win mafia and it will just result in a snowball for the faction that is ahead when people can just opt out of a losing faction. Ultimately though, the inactivity was the more frustrating aspect while I was actually playing and that isn't the fault of the host or setup.
I am aware that my early-game performance wasn't the best, as the game came at a poor time for me; I was dealing with the loss of my pet lizard and there was also a game at NSM that was running concurrently. It's why I don't really like signing up for games weeks in advance, although games here nowadays take so long to fill that it's difficult to avoid. Anyway, thanks to the host and GG to the winners.

Re: The Avengers [Night 4]
This essentially confirms that Loki swapped LC and falcon. Given that wolves almost certainly didn't know of LC's alignment, this means that falcon is basically an outed wolf and should be our target for tomorrow.

Re: The Avengers [Day 4]
See above post. I already found them suspicious D3, and they haven't done anything to alleviate that. My post you quoted is more of a call to action for everyone.Simon wrote: ↑Mon May 06, 2024 9:25 pmIt seems as if you are suspecting a handful of players. AS, motobot, and Simon are barely doing anything. motobot seems the least impressive slot of the three at a glance, but I'm not happy with AS's (lack of) effort either at this point. Meta from a previous game can only get you so far when you have a do-nothingist playstyle anyway.
dunya is a dead slot, someone vig this please. Thank you.
falcon's not looking any more impressive than when I last voted him, I'll give you that much.
Brad had a stupid tunnel D2 and refused to do anything afterwards. Don't go all "woe is me" about the Porscha wagon when you yourself said you weren't gonna do anything to stop it.
LC and LoRab look better than most people, but that's such a low bar to clear at this point.
Michelle's posts look alright I guess.

I guess TSP is my top town read, but even he has done barely anything of late.

I *think* I know what you are implying, but it relies entirely on the premise that you randomly surmised exists by virtue of saying it lol.
1) why do you think abigail had special voting information?
2) why does that ability inherently make her a wolf?
3) and then why does she choose to do what I think you are implying she does?
Abigail was unwilling to vote you but still did. Why vote someone if you don't believe they are wolf. And by voting you if you flipped wolf in the future she would look less suspicious.
Now I believe I answered all of your questions but I could've misunderstood one.
So tell me- why didn't this occur to you and why are you preflipping Abigail to preflip yet someone else? Don't you think youre getting ahead of yourself in this thought process? If I flip today, and you will see I am town, will you still think Abigail is a wolf?
It isn't good practice to engage in the logic you're engaging in, in my personal opinion. It's an easy way to flip 2 town if you're a wolf.
And if you're town then it's just not a strategy that behoove you or the rest of the town. Hope this helps

Re: The Avengers [Night 3]
So it's a good thing that we're probably not dealing with a cult. Some town members being able to voluntarily change their alignments is nonetheless concerning, however. Solid lynch, but I wouldn't give too much credit as the wolves were likely unaware if Porscha was on their side.

Don't get me wrong, I don't accuse people for inactivity, not to mention, that really isn't the problem. The problem is the fact that Abigail hasn't done much of anything at all. She even said it herself that she doesn't actually pay attention to debates or speculation, to the point where she never has anything to say.
If she is indeed gathering info and having her own opinions and reads then good for her. But she is also being very quiet with her own thoughts and never actually shares them.
Trust me,she's even like this irl, so this is a very good reason as to why I shouldn't trust her. And besides, if she was town, she probably wouldn't be trying to hide as much as she is.
I have the same opinion on moto, it's not like he's done much of anything either. But unlike Abigail, he never actually stated that he was trying to stay away from anything supposedly chaotic.
Actually, does anyone remember if she was town that game? Because if so, then historically speaking, that would make me wrong about her potentially having different actions depending on alignment.

Re: The Avengers [Day 3]
So, the numbers at the start of the game were 12-3-1-1. Assuming both our loses were town and ignoring recruitments, that would mean that we're at 10-3-1-1. With recruitments, we can potentially lose 3 townies per day/night cycle if we mislynch, which means we probably have to pull ourselves together quickly.

Re: The Avengers [Day 3]
Recruiting is a difficult mechanic to balance. If I can unrecruit one person, then there's nothing preventing them from leading a lynch on the recruiter. The claiming roles limit this somewhat, but not enough, as I'd likely be on their side and it'd be noticeable. The question becomes, what happens to the faction if the recruiter dies? Recruiting factions like cults are typically the biggest threats as they can quickly grow out of control if given a little leeway.

It seems the roles of Black Widow (tracker), Doctor Doom (rolecop), and Deadpool have been partially revealed in the OP. Deadpool seems like a hostile ITP, so I wouldn't trust them, though wolves are still a more pertinent threat.

I'm cleared, so wolves have no reason to not nightkill me. I suppose that means that if I'm being kept alive after this point, that must mean my reads are off, although that contains quite a bit of WIFOM and could be influenced by interference from other roles. Come to think of it, I would make a good Loki target, as nobody in their right mind would think to lynch me anymore, though that couldn't have happened today.

Your vote won't have an impact on a vanity wagonAbigail Sophia wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 8:43 pmI already made that mistake with Wilgy...I don't completely understand what's going on with that fight so I'm staying out of itleetic wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 8:33 pmSeems AS is just willing to crossvote motobot. Re: The Avengers [Day 2]
Simon, AS, and motobot seem to be in their own world. I suppose that's something the rest of you'll have to figure out

Who knows, maybe I'll be saved by Loki! Seems unlikely though

Re: The Avengers [Day 2]
Not fond of Syn's willingness to throw shit around earlier but now just staying on a lame vanity wagon. I'd be surprised if my wagon was pure, but stranger things have happened.

Well, it seems I'm dead (this is one time where a CFD would be good actually). Just remember my legacy, Wilgy is town.

Re: The Avengers [Day 2]
Silencing is something I'd announce as host, as I feel not doing so is bastard (especially if there re penalties for inactivity), though other hosts might do it differently. motobot doesn't seem like a particularly active player, so inactivity seems the more likely cause in any case.LoRab wrote: ↑Wed May 01, 2024 7:18 pm Also from my reread, I’m undecided on SVS. I get where she is coming from, but my eyebrow raised a few ties in rereading. Also undecided on LC. For now, I think they are both civvie, but with a grain of salt.
As for the moto suspicion, I’m just going to note that we don’t know if this game has a silencer. It’s possible he hasn’t posted at all this round is because he can’t. As silencing is usually a baddie power, I need to look back at who has mentioned him. As that seems suspish. (Wasn’t paying attention to who was saying it while reading, so honestly need to check that).

Might want to change your plans, because spoiler alert I'm not gonna flip wolf. You can seek redemption, however, by getting off this bad tunnel.

Re: The Avengers [Day 2]
I mean, I can see one perspective where Brad's hard tunneling could come from a towny perspective, although I can't truly confirm whether it's the case as well. Porscha's progression looks bad all around, and TSP seems decently towny here, so why not [VOTE:

Re: The Avengers [Day 2]
So, things ain't looking good here, so I might have to converge for self-pres. I don't like the AS or sig wagons for reasons I've already expressed. S~V~S... eh. I have a tendency to be skeptical towards players that townread me in a thread climate that's very much against me, but the progression reads decently enough and I've used some of her tells as town before, so I cann see the mindset. So, besides Brad, that leaves... Porscha? I mean, a lot of her posts have been pretty dismissive, and she was hedging on me for a while until suddenly changing her mind simply due to a Brad post, and her vote on Wilgy wasn't impressive either. So yeah, I would not be opposed to a vote there.
