On my home site, GTF, I have played 4/5 games iirc, they're spread out so it's hard to remember, but my first game ever was in November. I am currently in the Ancient Grecian game, bringing the total to 5/6 games throughout my time. I've never been mafia, no. Short version: I like playing town and am best at gathering information and just move around and move the thread. Sometimes I have good reads, but am better finding town than scum. I dislike playing scum and eventually start feeling like I'm obligated to post, but am good at "making sense" enough for people to not look at me. Something like that. If you really wonder, have Jimmey give you a real rundown. But I haven't played that many games on this site.

Anyway, I actually tone read Sprit town myself. I just don't get what he's doing all of the time. I also haven't memorized all the limitations around when people can post and not, which I understand is a requirement to give a read (rolls eyes at Epi). Seems Sprit has had a busy time lately.

Why did you vote yourself then? I took it as a joke? What I disliked, to be clear, is that you had lapluie as a suspect, voted yourself (so not helping any other lynch or pushing any other reads), and then after it's all done you come out critizing the lynch. It's just not constructive imo. It's also hypocritical, cause you didn't do anything to ensure a better lynch.

I think I agree, but mildly, with this. Sprit's "omg you lynched a townie" is lame lame. I didn't get why he voted himself. Epi vs Jay makes me want to smash something. What an unnecessary discussion. It could basically be as easy as this:

Jay: I have sneaking suspicion because I don't find Epi reevaluated and followed up on his reads to the standards I hold him.
Epi: Jimmeeey, you forget that I was super busy and wasn't able to follow the thread closely at the time, so I couldn't really do what you expected.
Jay: Oh right, I didn't think of that.

In the beginning of my mafia career I was killed N1 almost every single game for a very long time. Probably because I managed to pull off a scum win in my very first game by appearing quiet and reasonable. And when I then randed town consistently I was basically the IC of the game for playing like this.

My reaction is mixed. I don't know Sprit as a player. I think we played one game and I was part of a scum team, and I vaguely remember not always understanding his perspective on things. And it seems we have different ideas of what makes players suspicious or not. But in itself it looks really bad to me, casting a wide net of blame for something you originally spent time arguing for. It's tempting to say it's "too scummy to be scum", but that doesn't really exists. In conclusion: It's a really bad look.

Is it just me or is there less assertive reads in this game than normal? Like, few read lists, few players asserting or grouping reads? Can we like, do that more, at least as a starting point? Maybe it's just me.

Right, four mafia, I had pictured five for some reason. The indie might not be a direct threat, and the bigger team would be the bigger threat anyway. That feels a bit better, but still "places, people - people, places" etc.

Here's what I got now -

LC - I really do not like making this read, but I do think LC is town for the way he reacted to almost being lynched. I hope he doesn't do it again, cause it's unnecessary imo, but done is done and we all have felt the feels of mafia. I will not sleep on this read though.

Kyle - is town to me because I feel his reaction to Jack's interrogation is pure and it's relatable. Feeling the weight of being the deciding factor on D1 can be a lot. How he comes across in that interaction resonates with me. If he's faking it as scum, good on him, but I lean towards it being honest.

Mac - is town or consider me fooled.

Jimmeeey - I just hope he's town and I haven't seen a whole lot that makes me think otherwise. I have been on a scum team with him, and I don't think our playstyles or at least meta-thoughts about mafia in general are all that different. Don't know if that makes it easier or not for me to read him.

Nova - I think is town, especially for questioning lapluie before the flip if what she was saying didn't come from a mafia perspective.

Circling back to Juliets and Sprit as suspect. Nobody has the slightest interest in talking about Penny, and I wish he would have an interest to talk to us. What's a Dom?

I just remembered Epi was in the game. I have had an early town read on them, but I've consciously had in mind that I think I've been at odds with Epi's perspectives pretty much every game we've both been town, and that hasn't happened here. Less of a presense than I would expect.

Well, yeah, meh. Personally I feel that without a super clear direction, CFD at the end of day 1 is not the worst way to go because 1) you can get lucky and 2) everyone participating gives information and reacts in a fast paced thread. (3 - it's kind of fun).

I would prefer building good cases going forward. Do you have any? I'm more in PoE land right now. More about that later.

Also, town is winning, obivously, cause town is awesome. BUT, I want to stress that if all town does not start getting involved for real we're not going anywhere. There are five mafia members, and we do need coordination and a sense of urgency. Just a mantra I have.

Problem is. There's no hard evidence you are town either, because you haven't done much to try and figure out who is scum and not imo. Have you read the entire game or just parts of it? Do you have any other feels or reads for people you know?

Because he's not a town read and I didn't like him voting someone who wasn't a lynch option. Plus, feeling town on you and Mac, and with 5 mafia switching gears around end of day is probably good for town vs having slow built.
