She turned the faucet, but it continued to drip.

For the first time since the mission had bagun, she felt uneasy.
Was this supposed to happen?
More dripping could be heard behind her. The shower began to drip too.
Even she was beginning to perspire. She wanted nothing more than to get out of there.

Lady LambdaDelta and Quin have been kicked from this dream.
ColinIsCool and Pawn Lelouch have awoken in this dream.

The mark remained sound asleep.
She had done her job, that much was sure. That’s all it was.
Everything had gone according to plan.
The rest of the mission was out of her hands.
The next room over, the faucet started to drip.

“You’ve got to get moving. It’s going to be a long day.”
You close your eyes, straining to remember what you are doing here…

You take one last sip of Merlot and set it down on the bureau, unloosening your tie.
Somewhere off in the distance a saxophone croons as the two of you embrace.
In the heat of the moment, your limbs flail wildly. Like animals.
Your arm strikes something on the nightstand. You hear a gentle thud and prolonged rattling.
It’s the bag of cashews that you had been snacking on before, now spilled out on the floor.
You don’t care. Your eyes are heavy, and at last the world is still.
