I am underwhelmed with allcrab's responses to seanzie thus far.

Also a quick note about the results of my shot: If I die, it means that my vest has been spent elsewhere already. This could very well mean that I was the Night 1 kill target. That would be my first guess, at least. It is not a guarantee, but it's a reasonable bet to make. I'm noting this just so that it is not lost later on, since I won't be here to point out it if it is the case.

If my target (gonna be orangecrush) dies then hooray. If nothing happens then I would assume that means OC is town and my vest is still in tact. I certainly hope there is at least host-confirmation that a shot has taken place if this happens, or else I will have no way of proving to you all that this was not a big ruse.

@orangecrush sorry! I will admit that part of the reason I am choosing you over Made is that you are from PerC, and if you are town then I want to give you the opportunity to play the rest of this game without any pressure on you. So there's that! And if you're mafia, no hard feelings, obviously. A townie's gotta do what a townie's gotta do.

Legacy thoughts on the player list:

Actvscenei: I am able to articulate an argument for Act to be both town and mafia at this stage. I think she has appeared to demonstrate an active, constructive mindset throughout this game. That is the hallmark of a good civilian game. But I also feel like I can see a savvy mafioso behind several of her posts. See my analysis of her nutella/Owner interactions from Day 1 for a major point of confusion for me.

Alison: Even if I rule out poisoning as a mechanical-confirmation that Alison is town, my attempt to tinfoil her turned up very little. If she is mafia, she has trapped herself in a corner in such a way that would be wildly un-Alison. This is to say nothing of the generally pro-town vibes she is putting into the thread.

Allcrab: Response to Seanzie pending. I have felt vaguely good about allcrab for most of the game, based in part on mechanics. Last night I highlighted a brief moment in his ISO that I thought looked like he was not teamed with nutella and owner: the way he crammed a couple of unrelated comments/reads on the two of them into consecutive posts looked like a micro-moment of being totally unconscious of the significance of either of their names at the time. If allcrab is their teammate, I expect him to be more deliberate about how he discusses each of them.

bad bunny: is about to flip today unless there's another healer out there, so I honestly have not given them any thought.

Garden Gnome: I lean vaguely toward a town read if I absolutely must take a stance, but Gnome has not done anything that makes her off limits as a suspect to me. If I survive, I would like to see how nutella and Owner (and my shot-target, I suppose) treated her when they were alive. Gnome strikes me as the kind of player who will always be at least a little suspicious to some folks (meaning no offense to her at all!), so she's a viable low-hanging fruit option. But wolves don't necessarily like to push those options right out of the gate. Good to leave those option on the table for mid-game.

Guillotine: My town read on Guillo is shrinking ever so slightly, with the caveat that I have not fully read today's events. But every time he shouts at me to shoot him, it makes me think he is a brazen mafioso trying to use reverse psychology on me. There is absolutely zero benefitting to anyone imploring me to target them. If you are town and you want me to shoot you, you are telling me that you want me to die. That only benefits players whose win conditions require lots of dead civilians.
For the most part, I have read Guillo as town based on his tone and the direction of his posts. He has been like a more reserved Gavial, and at times I have felt like the sincerity of his reads is glaring and obvious. But I have never played with Guillo before, so I am unsure how much I should really care about this. Strategically speaking, his play is not out of line with what I might expect an aggressive mafioso to be doing in this game. I do not remember what role he played in the nutella or Owner wagons.

JaggedJimmyJay: I am nearly fully confident in my town read on Jay. For a number of reasons. I have stated several already. A few off the top of my head: He does not take such a passive approach to EoD1 if two of his teammates are on the chopping block. He does not propose and consent to the Night 1/2 "Cupid" plan if he is mafia. His handling of me in particular this game is very much in line with how I feel he should be handling me. I sensed that he was starting to doubt me as I lurked in the shadows on Day 3. Scum Jay probably does not bother to hint at those concerns, however minor they may have been. And lastly, this dude's been traveling across the United States of Murrica all week but has been compulsively stirring things around in this thread to keep it from stagnating all the while.
If this is your first game here, know that Jay and I are regarded as having "god reads" on each other. I am not demanding that my read be taken as gospel, and I want everyone to pursue their own ideas and suspicions to whatever extent they desire, but also I would urge everyone to remind themselves that I very very firmly read Jay as town before you begin to indulge in any serious suspicion against him.

lost monkey: nutella wanted him dead on Day 1. I think that was plain and obvious. lost monkey also seems to have a roleclaim in his favor. lomo is town.

MacDougall: After briefly entertaining some tinfoil about Mac last night, I decided I was being silly. I might be interested in picking it back up much later on if town loses all its momentum and Mac is at the center of that failure, but I don't really see that happening and think that he is just town. his and nutella's treatment of each other on Day 1 did not look like a teammate pairing.

Made: I do not actually think there is anything from Day 1 that makes it impossible for Made to be on a team with Owner and nutella. They were the only three wagons, and both flipped wolves ended up on Made, but that does not mean a whole lot in a world where all three of them are mafia. nutella/owner would have had no town options in that world. I do not feel like Made has done anything pro-town since then. His general lack of awareness of major thread events from last night should be looked into more, either as a point against him or in his favor. TBD.

Martin: If I am being honest, I think his reaction to hawk's claim looks legitimate. I don't think Mafia Martin goes all scorched earth like that if he's the mafia healer, and I think it makes a hell of a lot more sense for him to have been sincere about his suspicion. I also thought he responded very well when I put a little bit of pressure on him last night. I would call Martin a moderate town read at this point, but that is not a lock.

Nanook: Feels town because of Day 1, and his humbugging over my play this phase feels sincere. But I am historically not the best at reading nanook. I have not been concerned about him at any point this game.

orangecrush: meh whatever I'm just gonna shoot OC. So we'll have this slot resolved shortly after I hit Submit on this post.

Sloonei: I will also be resolved shortly after I hit Submit on this post.

Seanzie: Not counting Jay and the mechanially-confirmed Tangrowth, Seanzie is my most confident town read. I feel like he has been the most proactive player in this game. His reads have been nuanced far beyond the scope that I would expect from a typical mafioso. His insight and the content he has helped to generate are some of the best in the game to this point.

Tangrowth - Is mechanically confirmed town thanks to my desperado predecessor.

The only thing that has happened is that he hasn't been in thread at all since, with the exception of one post he just made a few minutes, and I immediately asked him to respond to the point you're referencing. No one has commented on him or the points I made, so it has just been kind of waiting for him. I don't think he is a name that has been thrown out much for a shot target by others, but I am still very wary of him.

Look, I want to shoot at a reasonable time and give everybody a chance to adjust to the results.

But put yourselves in my shoes here: I have had next to zero time to actually play this game over the last 4 real life days. I'm careful and deliberate by nature. I'm not about to dive blindly into this shot when it could end my time in the game if I'm not right. I do not think it is unfair or unreasonable for me to want to have a chance to make myself comfortable with the decision.

And I am not asking you all to "play my game" or any sort of selfish manipulation like that. I am seeking input from others because I am treating this shot as a second chop for the day. I am trying to be democratic.

I am not opposed to Guillo suspicion and will engage in that conversation happily. But I don't think I will be shooting him. I still hope to keep my shot as safe as possible.

The term “1-shot” does not actually appear in my original rolecard, but it was a single-use ability.

To use your own reference, under "variations", they clearly mention that a universal backup could be designed which inherits power roles from either side. I do not know. It is definitely worth considering if Made has, uh, made it this far in the game without his teammates informing him that Tangy is mechanically confirmed, even if just incidentally. But Made has been absent from the game for long stretches, and I think there is sometimes a tendency to overestimate the team awareness of all members of a mafia team at all times. For instance, in my one and only game to date on your home site, I was mafia and was fully unaware of the web of role claims (hints, technically) in the thread toward endgame and relied entirely on the townies to tell me themselves what everyone was.
There can be legitimate strategic value to a mafioso maintaining genuine ignorance of thread events (that wasn't the case for me on MafCafe. I just straight up didn't know what was happening and was very vulnerable as a result). It is possible Mafia Made either preferred to keep himself uninformed of major events, or simply missed any mention of tangrowth in scum chat.

I thought about picking up hawk's role, but A) I wasn't fully convinced the poisoner would keep poisoning every night/last all that long, B) desperado resolves more people more quickly, and C) this is way more fun.

Gnome would be my top town read in that group (or the closest thing to a town read). I would put allcrab on the list in light of Seanzie's recent digging.
Act is someone I could comfortably argue both ways for right now, which is a strange feeling. I need something to stabilize my read one way or the other on her.

#1. nutella gripes about objections to her use of the word "spicy." Act observes that Owner seems to be the only person taking issue with "spicy", and prods nutella about this. My kneejerk reaction was that this is a fairly pointed question for one teammate to throw at another. There isn't really a positive way for nutella to spin this, and it also calls added attention onto another teammate (Owner) in the process. Seems like an odd and risky thing to do if act is mafia here.

Owner does that. She picks up on the smallest, seemingly strangest reasons to read people. With that said, it doesn’t usually seem this prominent...meaning, I feel like she’s laying it on thick right now. It feels manufactured in a “I know people know me for this type of game play so I should be doing that!”

For example: in the past, Owner used the word “interesting” as a scum tell for people. In another game, she used an avatar change as a scum tell. Now, I’m seeing her pick up on an odd word AND call out an avatar nearly back to back.

#2. The most awkward for sure, Act responds to a read on nutella with a defense of Owner, thinking that she is the player being suspected. Promptly realizes her mistake and sheepishly ("lol") acknowledges it.
On the one hand we can twist ourselves into a big warm pretzel trying to workout the minefield of associatives here in which Mafia Act was too eager to defend Mafia Owner that she didn't even realize the player being accused was Mafia nutella. The gang's all here and it looks goofy.
On the other hand, that feels like too silly of a mistake to make if all three of them are partners. nutella is probably the one in more danger at this point, and the defense of Owner does not seem at all unreasonable given Act's apparent familiarity with her meta.
And on some level, this read suggests to me that Act is Actively in thought with regards to Owner. She has just asked nutella to elaborate on Owner's objection to the word "spicy." So Act associating Owner's name with "the spicy comment" is both natural and reasonable.

What do you mean it's not alignment indicative? The coffee tell on Dizzy was a pattern. Something very small could easily be another pattern. Do you not analyze patterns? A lot of stuff can be alignment indicative. It depends the players and certain variables, but they can be there.
I agree that small things can be part of a bigger pattern; however, until you start seeing that pattern with confirmed results, how can you call it alignment indicative? Have you seen Nutella play mafia games in which “spicy” was a word she only used as scum?
#3. Act raises a small objection to Owner's suspicion of nutella, prodding her to develop the read further. Taking this post in conjunction with the previous two, I come away with an impression that Act is trying to discover a town read on Owner while also feeling out a new-to-her (I think?) player in nutella. Post #1 is purely interrogative. Post #2 is a favorable assessment of Owner based on meta. Post #3 is a piece of constructive criticism for Owner's nutella read. Act treats the two flipped wolves very differently here, and I think there is a visible difference in where she is mentally with regards to each of them as well in this moment.

But I am open to an alternative version of events where Act suddenly found herself extra cognizant of her association with two of her teammates on Day 1 and tangled herself up in their mutual phony suspicion of one another: we already know that nutella and Owner staged their reads of one another. If two wolves are in on the act, why not a third?

I don't entirely follow. Do you mean this is to Mac's credit or something to think about in the other direction?
He was actively disagreeing with my nutella associative reads, and in that conversation he argued that nutella, as mafia, has trouble disguising her true intentions when she is casting suspicion on civilians.
Part of me is worried that this is Mafia Mac painting a certain image of nutella to bolster the credit he can receive from his own interactions with nutella.
