To my memory nova was crankier about Luna than anyone else was. I don't have time right now to dig for that stuff, but it's what inspired my quick Luna vote when the day began.

Well yes, that's helpful for players who are willing to broadcast that. It's a nice enough confirmer of claims if still not terrible insightful about good and bad.

This is what I was looking for.

My role can be a sort of "character cop". It provides insight about what song a player is. That doesn't mean much though regarding their role or their alignment.

i feel like to get to your point i'd have to role hint, and i'm not really inclined to do that.

i'll say that nova's behavior struck me as someone who had lost 2 important teammates and was laying lower than usual. he was a jailkeeper, and fair play to him to do what he had to do to not being universally town read and nk'd early.

I'll get to my own point. If, for whatever reason, you had an inkling that nova was responsible for preventing a kill -- why did you want his head?

When I look at the poll and just omit names that immediately produce a "civilian" reaction in my brain, I am left with:

leetic
Lunalee

It'd be swell if things are just that simple.

Right now I think my chief tinfoil is dunya.

Brutal if leetic is replacing out now in a mafia role. Or, really, any role. I'm not moved.

Something I have seen often is that Elohcin's emotion is "non-alignment indicative". Okay, that may be true.

So it's not civilian-indicative. Yes? Does anyone specifically believe that emotion, or anything else about her, points in the civilian direction rather than in no direction?

i didn't know why there was a no kill on n3. i was feeling better about nova n4.

Which night was it that you had an explanation for the lack of a kill? I suppose it must be night 2. Was your theory of whatever that is related to nova?

i'm trying to imagine a world where mafia JJJ sees his role card and decides he needs to role claim to prevent theorizing about it later in the game. where he has a role that's sorta meh and if he plays it out in the open, he can appear more town like.

JJJ knows that roles aren't alignment indicative. why would civ JJJ feel the need to role claim? i don't get it. it's a closed set up, no one has to claim. it makes me feel like JJJ somehow knew early on that roles could come out (as they have been in the OP). correct me if i'm wrong, but he was the first to notice juliets's role in the OP too.

Sometimes I project a future state of the game and the game thread and don't like what I see. It isn't merely about protecting myself, but also preventing a lengthy, dragged out dialogue about me that I know cannot possibly net a mafia lynch barring some fortunate reactions or the like.

It's the same reason I [honestly] claimed miller in my first post of Parks and Rec. Link - sock used to be April Ludgate

I think it's important to be transparent with a role like this.

To be frank: if the only concern period is is this definitely a productive role?, I wouldn't have used it at all. It is the role Epignosis designed though, and to abstain makes me feel lame. I doubt that's what he envisioned for the role, someone just refusing to do anything with it. That's boring and a disappointment. I was prepared to abstain anyway at that point. When speedchuck requested it, I figured he could have fun with it. That was one reason I targeted him Night 1. So what the hell.

I think another role that serves as evidence of my theory is yours. Jack spoke the truth on at least one point: skipping a day phase is not a good thing for the civilians. It's a tradeoff in your case, and on balance it works out. Even nova's role, a jailkeeper, fits the paradigm. In the hands of the mafia that role is more or less a roleblocker -- still with the same utility it'd ever have in mafia hands.

I'm a civilian who curses people. I have an advantage in this conversation.

If I have the tally correct (really hard to tell), it appears that when Kites voted for Mac it had previously been 6-4 Mac over nutella (Kites made it 7-4, Luna made it 8-4, and niju made it 8-5).

As EOD neared he deliberated between nutella and Mac and went with Mac. His vote came 21 minutes before the deadline. I'll have to see what the tally looked like in that moment.

The point here though is that he had generated enough of a reason to vote nutella if he wanted to do so, and chose not to. There is a pretty clear counterargument here (that he walked himself out of a nutella vote prematurely and then was stuck), so it's a tempered argument.

Kites can be a mafioso. I think he generally "looks genuine", and I grant that such a thing is worth less at this point in the game. His interactions with both Mac and Jack are generally inconclusive.

Splitting time between two games now, so forgive my slowed pace here. I note that many of us seem to be gravitating toward a consistent POE set. So we should talk about the people not in that set.

For the general public: if you had to name one or two players who most perturb you as tinfoil suspects, who would they be?

I think speed generally looks like a civilian at face value. The case against him isn't one I would call confident.

Yeah I just took a look at that again and could not see them being teammate compatible.

About space, would it be likely for a game to have a mafia neighborizer? I read on mafiascum that it’s rare.

In this game I believe that any role can be any alignment.
