Looks like I just need to go back to supporting an Epi lynch every game again. Thanks for a simple, back-to-basics game, Colin, even if it did reinforce the fact that I still suck as a civvie.

It’s part of an ongoing series of posting gimmicks. I think I play too infrequently for it to have been noticed yet.

Looks like I was right about Nutella from Day 1. Epi had me fleeced though.

All my posts started with the letter L this game.

Ah well, I missed the deadline by 10 minutes. We went to visit my new nephew tonight. He’s cute, warm, and cuddly, unlike mafia. I’ve been sleeping on the couch since we got the kids in bed.

For the record, I don’t like neither coffee nor bacon, so my role was ironic (or is it just coincidence?).

Looking back through the first half of Day 2, I’m reaching the conclusion that either Sloonei or WaywardSon/Nova is bad. I’m just at the point where Nova steps in, so I have to see what comes from the new blood. Re-reading Wayward was giving me all kinds of weird vibes.

Sloonei seemed to harp on Wayward a bit through that point, agreeing and expounding on Jay’s assessment. I can see him bussing one teammate but not two quite like that. His sprityo focus D1 and his Wayward focus D2 share similarities. Maybe not structurally but in the way they make me feel while reading it.

Languishing through a partial re-read. I got through Night 1. It offered me a new perspective. I see room for Sloonei to be bad. He chimed in with mentions of sprityo several times during Day and Night 1 combined. It’s almost like he wanted us to follow him down that rabbit hole.

Because we didn’t, he looks better after the flip. He didn’t push hard for a sprityo lynch, because that would look way too obvious in retrospect, especially had we lynched sprityo Day 1. He was tied with two civvies for the Day 1 lynch before he switched to Eloh. Pulling a sacrifice switch on Eloh is much easier to swallow for many of us than pulling a sacrifice switch of Jay. Sloonei always values Jay’s input, something he mentioned later to me when I asked him about why Eloh over Jay. All this, plus being a day removed from his sprityo focus could be evidence of a smooth operator, which Sloonei can be.

I don’t know if I’ll have time to read through Day 2, so I’ll leave my vote where it is for now. Far too much to work through to call Sloonei hard mafia. I still see room for Nutella to be bad too. Reading back through keeping in mind that Jay, Eloh, and Sabie were civvie and Sprityo was bad didn’t open much more up in my mind about MafiaMenace, Wayward/Nove, or Spacedaisy/Luna. That where I think I need to do the most work to develop firmer reads on everyone.

Do you have any specific beefs with Luna's posts?

I hope there are no beef flavored ice creams. My reality can't handle another impact like that.

Luna just subbed in, so the has two luxuries:

1) She may get the benefit of the doubt, time, and space to catch up and generate posts you can evaluate.

2) In catching up, she’s able to agree with the assessments of others rather than generate reads unique to her.

I don’t have anything against her yet (haven’t ISO’d her and may not have time). I just don’t want you to let her get away with glomming onto other peoples’ reads while she catches up.

Why these two? Which one feels more right?

Look at my ISO’s reactions of them for why.

Lynching Nutella feels both more quantitatively and qualitatively correct because there’s more posts to analyze, thus increasing the volume of posts that look bad.

Jay’s early game felt lazy. He stated in sign-ups that he’d be busy, so I’m trying to decipher whether his game feels like crap because he’s phoning it in due to time constraints or he’s bad.

I’d love to catch baddie Jay in the act but don’t want to let that Bucket List item muddy the waters too much.

Some people on this site agree with you. Some don't. A lot of us use our past knowledge of each other's play to inform our reads, but it's never 100% of the reasoning for suspecting or townreading someone. It's just another tool at our disposal to supplement the current game's content. It may cloud judgment a little sometimes but we don't rely on it exclusively.
