Re: Halvøsen Ridge [DAY 2]
To add to my last post, while I’ve turned around my stance on Ender and am pondering his connections to Rondo, I am not ready to actively start suspecting Rondo yet. He is an easy mislynch due to his wacky posting so just a thought. It’s more like if Ender comes back bad, I might start reconsidering him but not ready to go there at this moment

Pick creature or maybe Ender due to I felt (and I wasn’t around for the end of day so maybe I’m wrong with this as it’s to the best of my recollection) but I felt like the falcon wagon caught most steam when creature was a nominee yesterday. And less mention of someone in the hot spot always makes me kind of wary. Like where did that suspicion go.
Ender I thought was sounding ok, but my opinion there has reversed. He sounds less confident than I remember town Ender to be and I would expect stronger town lead. Idk he would also be my answer to the question someone posed to everyone who would they check.
When reading his posts yesterday my initial thought was also him and rondo weren’t paired, because they are friends but interacting way too much in the thread. I don’t think partners even friends would be that blatant. But then I keep going back to one post of his in my head where I felt he was almost annoyed rondo kept mentioning him, so it’s made me question that thought as well.
Sorry again cause I don’t plan on going back to find those posts, but at least if I don’t make it today there’s some food for thought for you guys lol

You, I already thought were town. Sean I was not sure of. He is another person who I’m historically pretty crap at reading, but I like his posts. Seems like he is working out solutions and suspicions in the thread. Thinking outside of the box. I don’t believe a mafia would go after you in the thread, when there are much easier options. Therefore while I don’t agree with his points on you, I can’t see it coming from a scum place

My vote on you had little thought behind it. It was a spur of the moment, jokey vote which is why I used and when casting itDyslexicon wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 7:13 pm I should probably explain why I think she's mafia.
Her posts doesn't go anywhere.
I think she knew Falcon was town and that is coming through in her posts, for example when talking about Mac's read on Falcon.
Her vote on me is preemptive self pres, with added non-reasoning.
And yes, it is silly. But I think she would feel the urge to do that as mafia, and not town.
Just my feelings on it.

Fargo Mafia - ok this was from a year ago. This is one of fs's most active games I've seen, she spent a lot of time early on talking about pretty much anything but reads, and even her reads were not very strong at the start.
Mafia Syndicate Normal Game - this is from a few months ago, fs barely posted, and her posts were all very short, and she does seem stilted in this one.
I'm not seeing either of these things from her. Yes fingersplints doesn't post a lot, but that is normal for her (and really it's that the rest of us just post way too much). What I have seen here is an almost immediate attempt to generate reads, explain them, and she's also considering how the game will play out based on flips and looking ahead, an approach which appears to be lacking in her scum meta.
I'd call her town right now.
Or well it is hard to put words on what I identified there tbh

t's the approach Alison has, her posting has a questioning solvey method, that doesn't feel like it's pushing an agenda. You have a similar feel, like you're working on solving the game.
Sean feels...stiff, awkward.
What really did it was his spree of just asking aimless questions of why people had the reads they had that I can already see he has no intent in following up on lol.

We are currently tied falcon vs creature. If it stays like that I support a falcon vote more than a creature vote. I think he is the more suspicious of the two, and I think that we can form some decent connections with his flip given a lot of folks have given opinions or had interactions with him. More than anything though I don’t want it to end in the tie option. Again I’ll try to stay up

Re: Halvøsen Ridge [DAY 2]
You say “I really don’t think we were at risk of a tie” but as even mentioned in the post of mine you quoted the votes were tied when I wrote that. Sure it’s unlikely they would stay exactly that way the remainder of the day, but it’s really not that weird for me to have commented on the vote as it stood right then.RondoDimBuckle wrote: ↑Thu Jun 30, 2022 8:48 am JJJ votes on Falcon a quick scroll through the iso shows he doenst move off falconNate the lesser jumps on after and doesnt move off falcon as wellSpoiler: showThen Creature, who votes, moves around jumps on falcon a second time and ends up on EnderSpoiler: show

But Mac says murder Marmot. JJJ and Boq are on first and they really dont move Is that wolfy? I dunno they would have to deal with the flakk. So I would be looking towards the center of the pack for 1-2Spoiler: show
This was a pain in the ass to format and search for so I might have missed something. You can reference Nakeds nice spreadsheet to double check I just noticed I have dizzy twice, Im not changing it
A) Creature, Ender, Finger, Dizzy, Alison - 1-2 of
B)Possibly one of JJJ, Nate, Lucy, Marmot if you think a wolf is that ballsy - 1 of and 1 of above
D)Or if you think we are way off it could be none of the above and 3 of
Boquise, Seanzie, DrWilgy, RondoDimBuckle
Which I dont think is really viable, at least from my point of view its unlikely that Boq/Seanzie/Wigly are all wolf. So it must be some sort of split of A:1-2 B:0-1 C:0-1
So we just need to find the most wolfy in those groupsAt that time I really dont think we were at risk of a tie and many people had already voiced their concern at a tie myself included.Spoiler: show
I think here is a good place to start, lets see if anything happens

The last thing I was hoping to achieve is the classical night kill analysis. Many people balk at the very idea of trying this, and I think they're wrong. Wifom is wifom blah blah, but we're remiss if we don't at least take a look. Moreover, in a mountainous game, at least one of the layers of wifom does not exist -- there are no doctor dodges. So it'd behoove us to review Mac and see where he sat. What we do with that I don't know right now, but we honor his memory enough to give him a voice.
If that's something that tickles you, I'd love to see what you come up with.

Not rn. I havent had the time to dig into Mac's reads as of yet but thats on my to do list.
Another thing is that wolves don't necessarily kill someone because of their scum reads; they can also nk someone to fossilise their town reads. As in, if scum is within a respected town player's village list, then scum can profit on that tbh

Sean feels...stiff, awkward.

Re: Halvøsen Ridge [DAY 1]
Used to be a lot of this in the early days. Certain hosts, that even hosted on the syndicate, you would just know that they would have hand picked roles. Mafia trends change over time. I remember back in the day when resurrection and recruitments were all the rage, and then there was a time with a ton of fun posting modifiers. It was crazy. Good times lolJaggedJimmyJay wrote: ↑Tue Jun 28, 2022 2:39 pmThat is the opposite of any Mafia I have ever known. I'm sure folks had fun anyway.
(For the record, I have a long history of GMan games and he has absolutely not ever been one of those hosts to hand pick. Fair as always)

Probably Alison. I don’t think I’m particularly good at reading her so she can fool me easily into thinking she is town with her usual analytical tone. Maybe someone else I can’t read well. Like wilgy or marmot whose game style is difficult for me to read

Re: Halvøsen Ridge [DAY 1]
I consistently fall into the category of townie feeling forced to post day 1 despite not having solid suspicions. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, but I really admire all of you who are able to come up with this stuff right away for sake of discussion. Takes me days to get into a game.NateTheLesser wrote: ↑Mon Jun 27, 2022 3:11 amYeah. I guess I'm pro-"day 1 reads", anti-"day 1 reads for the sake of having a read". It can be difficult to tell the difference between a read that feels fake because a wolf is trying to appear uninformed, and a read that feels fake because a townie felt like they should have an opinion and came up with something.MacDougall wrote: ↑Mon Jun 27, 2022 2:57 amSpeaking for myself, I like making day 1 reads because:NateTheLesser wrote: ↑Mon Jun 27, 2022 2:50 am I vibe with the discomfort, though. It seems pretty common on MU to offer early reads on the whole player list, which is foreign to me.
1. It causes people to do shit
2. My ability to make reads doesn't require heaps of content and tbh sometimes it's hindered by it... I would say in the main my reads have an arc curve in terms of accuracy. They start off good, get worse during mid game, and then get good at endgame lol.
