Is jAY just a random vote, i remember playing with him as town in the 70s (champs s2) and we won. he seems pretty proactive in engaging others but thats obvi easy to fake as scum. tell me more about him, unless hes right and youre reads are just bad.

I'll clear Jay for his vote, and reconsider him only in F3. His progression on Sparkles would be hellbussing and suicidal, because Jay would never win this game as a lone wolf.

I'm willing to call falcon town given his vote, and that my initial suspicion of MissSparkles came from this post:

I skipped and read the latest page and deduced both of my reads on you on posts I’ve seen from this page aka recent developments.

So like I felt like u saying “u bamboozled her” as mafia before and simultaneously calling her town was a good look and not something I’d see mafia doing, I like your tone and responses towards her and they felt towny in nature.

Alison’s being super aggressive and yea ok could be a wolf in power, but this early in the phase and this vocal more often than not comes from a towny imo

Sparkles looked like she was trying to pocket falcon here. Also falcon did originally vote Sparkles, then left, then came back on multiple occasions.

Esooa has proven that she is not the most useless townie. Of all the votes on Sparkles, her's is the most likely bus vote if there is one, but I'm more interested in the nonvoters for now, so I'll start looking there.

I usually ignore Nanook Day 1 unless he super-slanks, which this is not quite that.

I dunno. Some people apply different amounts of effort to each games, sometimes depending on their own time, and sometimes depending on their interest, and sometimes depending on what the game requires. I see Nanook this game putting in a little bit of effort because he's interested, but not too much because he sees several other players doing that, and so he doesn't need to.

This is a read I'll give actual thought to tomorrow though. This treatment of him probably doesn't match my treatment of other players, but that's what I think.

I haven't thought about who Falcon would be sussing otherwise (though I believe it would be lucy, given their push there earlier). I just didn't like his push onto lucy and his switch over to Sparkles felt like a wolf rolling late onto a bus. Very likely biased from my initial read and plenty of people have said he is a villager, so I'm prepared to let that one go.

Alison has been doing Alison things, don't really care for her overjustification and push for policy kills, but she seems fine enough for D1.

Esooa no read, lucy, no read. JJJ seems fine enough for D1. Sabi, found her entry slightly wolfy, awkwardly filling in silence. Other people have expressed a townread on her, so I figure I can also leave that for today.

I don't think I said that in particular, or maybe that's just summing up what I said, sorta. Or maybe it was. I guess what I accused Alison of doing was straw-personing Wilgy's argument, where he talked about her playing with a lot of ego, and rather than explaining how it wasn't using ego, instead told Wilgy he doesn't know what ego is.

Vote flailing is fine imo. Votes are a decent way to broadcast a read/pressure, and aren't necessarily going to be permanent/stagnant (looking at your Vernon).

Regardless, she's still on my mind. she pushed lucy I believe a lot more than anyone else did. I don't find that surprising from Alison, but I do have a concern it was an attempt to make lucy "AI" or potentially "scummy-looking". I don't feel strongly about that argument though. V!Alison would want everyone to be perfect pro-town decisions.

My interpretation of how lucy has played today is that she's attempting to be steadfast about not giving reads, but will talk about anything else, and is otherwise open to discussion, which at surface level isn't really townie, but also not a player I'd want to kill today.

If she's town, mafia should just kill her N1 anyway just to spite her meta

Lucy's referencing the recent Champs semifinals game where I subbed in, was mostly townread by the rest of the game, helped bury and chop a wolf, and then was promptly flash wagoned the next day for mostly inexplicable reasons.

As for the read, my guess is it isn't since she doesn't do Day 1 reads.

- if the game starts too feel too easy it probably means there’s something wrong. The stats don’t lie, this is favored for wolves which means it’s not supposed to be easy for us. People often go for the easiest/least accountable votes on d1 but keep in mind wolves have teammates and I’ve rarely seen wolves bus hard d1 in champs. So if the entire lobby is dogpiling on one or two slots d1 don’t get complacent because we could be way off.

lucy posted this in Halvøsen Ridge Mafia on Day 0. Her behavior this game is a complete departure from the second point in this one.

Because Nanook doesn't promise reads and renege on that promise. That is scummier than just being a potato because it suggests that the original promise was just a way to get me off their back rather than an authentic town playstyle.

I was trying to come up with a band name once, and somehow, some weird situation happened where I thought something might be potatoes, so suggested "They might be potatoes" as a band name, having no idea They might be giants was a band. I was quickly told this was the case and that my name was too close.
