Four mafia sounds like a bit much... for a regular game. This game, though, I don't know. Jinrou and his hypothetical pair of teammates would probably ask the host in private. Looks kind of towny to me.

Kyle. Everybody else has legitimate posting history that indicates they actually believed they were the/a cop.

The exception is if Jack told mafia about the multiple cops thing, I guess. Potentially the case but seems a little like stacking the deck? Idk.
that's actually wrong. saying zootopia over and over and generally being a memelord was an active choice i made to make sure I survived long enough to cop someone. i went a different direction once I realized that at the very least my role likely wasn't a perfect cop, but also that there was probably at least one other cop in the game due to the presence of a miller before I got tired/busy

It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that @indiglo has been fired. She was Officer Trunkaby (Town/Prey).

The purpose of the "no quoting messages from the host" rule is so that the wording of a pm may not be used to confirm a town player that knows how the host words things or to out a scum player who does not. Spelling out the wording of a pm without literally quoting it still has the same negative effect. I believe Indiglo has been confirmed town by the post quoted above.

This action is not intended to shame Indiglo, who Juliets and I have both enjoyed having in our game. I apologize to her for not making this rule more clear. Nevertheless, her removal from the game is necessary to ensure fairness to the scum team.

Please do not attempt to use the specific wording of pms from the hosts in order to read players or self confirm.

I've looked through the conversation with bob, and the idea that he is TMI-ing doesn't make sense to me. If he thought the Predators were the Mafia, then that would be Too Little Information. What is ultra-specific about this post anyway? It's a weird accusation, is specificity alignment-indicative? Bob's post wasn't weirdly specific anyway. I don't see this as an honest accusation.

Not sure if I like this from you, I think the most lurky version of Dizzy I've seen was the GoT game where you were SK claiming survivor.

But under other circumstances, a lurky you might make some sense here.
Also a spoilered cat-pic of two cats hugging. I think it's an ugly post: a little "I threaten you, but then buddy you right after", and what's the idea here anyway? Is this a real accusation of "SK claiming survivor"? No mention of scum-Dizzy being a lurker despite the "ultra specific" accusation; shouldn't Owner have some scum-Dizzy memories to draw on?

Don't tell me you slipped and tell me town is splitt in 2 factions. Let's get it straight ahead.
This is why I'm voting Rej. I find the wording "slipped and tell me town" to be something very strange for a town member to say to another townie.
@Owner of a Lonely Heart my reasoning. Not really tmi I think
I am more voting for you for bringing up the word "pm".
colonialbob wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2019 9:56 am Eh. I'll quibble with the angle shooting but that might be more semantics than anything else. My logic is definitely not "oh you didn't have this knowledge from your PM so you must not be town"

Or how the wording ^^ here is defensive in saying that you aren't or your logic isn't like this.

I get that are explaining how you're not something, but a lot of this is up to how everyone as a whole interprets each other.

You may be this one idea or thing, but reading the quotations sounds like you know a thing or two. Or like I said, I feel like you are tmi-ing,
I don't see the TMI angle on bob here. Then Owner says it's about him saying the word 'PM', which I get as angle-shooting, but not TMI. The last part of this quote, I can't really resolve in my head. "A lot of this is up to how everyone as a whole interprets each other" feels like it drains meaning, rather than clarifies.

I guess it means little in a closed setup where we don't know how many Mafia there are, but we can estimate. Is it accurate that it's "usually a mafia tactic"?
From my understanding, a miller role is mainly an important distinction for whoever/whomever is/are the cop(s) in the game. Generally, it should only potentially be trusted if announced as a day 1.

I haven't seen it used as a mafia tactic in awhile.
This looks more 'TMI' than anything I have read from bob. Maybe because I still have some bad vibes from Rej about the whole Miller claim thing, but this post doubles down on the idea that Rej is Civ. Looks like two things: one, Owner has TMI that Rej isn't Mafia, and two, a desire to avoid whatever trap a Civ Rej might be trying to set here.

... that's the Day 1 Owner that stood out for me. I would vote for Owner after this read. I'll get back into it if I can, but my time is up right now, so that's all you get.

But maybe players have a more bus mentality here. I've seen that before.

I more so think that for example Bob could be scum, and Soneji made Kyle a viable wagon to compete with Bob's and Daisy's, so the chances that his teammate got lynched was smaller.

^Or switch Bob with Daisy.

It's a bit of a WIFOM point, but it's something I've considered. I just wonder whether Soneji would feel compelled to throw a weak vote on Kyle just for the sake of having a vote out there, or if there was more to it. I don't know Soneji very well.

Why would he bus someone who only had two votes? Especially if that player was Daisy, who had two votes for absolutely no reason. All the wagons were weak as hell. The fact that he made sure to vote at all, and made Kyle effectively a competing wagon just by bringing him up to two votes may be significant.

Why did Soneji cate to vote at all if all of Kyle, Daisy and Bob are town for example?
I see, so cross his fingers and let the Civs hang, while putting a vote on a teammate for future reference.

Dyslexicon wrote: Wed Jun 05, 2019 2:08 pm Is it fair to say that there is an alarming lack of scum hunting this game? Is that normal? Cause I don't think it's normal?
I would say people are complacent with the Day 1 scum lynch, but such complacency should at least be accompanied by a clear path forward based on that.

:haha: We lynched the scum too early. Needed more interactions, dammit town!

Re: Zootopia Mafia Day 2

Dyslexicon wrote: Wed Jun 05, 2019 2:11 pm Soneji voted Kyle to a three way tie between him, Daisy and Bob.
The votes were very close and it was close to EoD.
The reason Soneji gave for the vote was silly.

Why did Soneji feel like he had to vote? Does Soneji make sure to definitely vote every D1? Cause he seems to be quite the AFK player, especially early. I would think he's had D1s where he doesn't vote (?)

In other words, this fact in itself may point towards either of Bob or Daisy.
If he avoided voting Bob and Daisy because they're his teammates... I don't know if that makes sense. They should have been bussing by that point, right?

This post irks me as well. It's a sandwich.
speedchuck wrote: Wed Jun 05, 2019 10:32 am I've seen the whole 'mafia get replaced first' thing on other sites, but not that often here.

Mafia DO request replacement more often than town, though, for whatever reason. Weirdos.

Given that, I think it's more important to look at the reason for replacement. Epi popped in practically before the game started. This is probably an indicator that whoever it was that signed up just didn't show up, or bowed out quickly for RL reasons. (My opinion.) That's null.

Sloonei replaced Daisy, who is busy, sure, but around more. That's more suspicious.

It's also possibly angle-shooting?
"It's not a good scum tell around here"

"Uncited fact is that they're more likely scum"

"Nullish exposition"

They are suspicious for the replacement"

"Maybe we shouldn't"

Believe it in your own mind, no one can stop that, but don't bring it up in the thread.

Speedchuck, are you the kind of guy who busses a teammate, or tries to save?
Depends on the situation. I would bus a teammate if they looked doomed. I won't defend a teammate unless there is something really good to defend, or unless there's a good target other than them that I can believably push.

Basically I'll try to save a drowning teammate if there's almost no way it comes back to bite me, I'll bus them if not.
That conforms to your Soneji stuff on Day 1. What better evidence is out there to lynch someone?

More narrow. Not actually trying to think about all kinds of angles.
I probably don't read Owner perfectly, but I'm not bad at it. Likely town imo.
It was your very recent game together that Owner publicly got town cred for "casting a wide net". You have no concerns that she might be emulating this praised behaviour?

Owner "casting a wide net" was the exact phrasing that was used to describe why she was read town in the last game we played together. In other words, Owner is most likely town. [Insert tinfoil about Owner/Kyle team]

Re: Zootopia Mafia Day 2

Owner had their vote on you earlier, Kyle, following Epi and Sloonei's votes... now she has followed Dys's Sloonei vote. Maybe that's "casting a wide net", or maybe it's looking for a train to push all the way.

But blood is thicker than water, and there's some blood floating around here now.

Agree that Nut was somewhat of a surprising kill given the post restriction. But she was very unlikely to get lynched because of tipping the scales on Soneji.
Also Flash Hundred Yard Dash is a 'good guy' (probably), and nutella had the post restriction to prove it.
The anti-town faction(s) have fakeclaims, so don't get too crazy with this kind of talk.

Do you think Nutella was mafia?
No... I've never played a bastard game before, but I'm going to trust the flips.

When I was coming up in mafia (eons ago, LOL) info-dumping and role outing was a mod-kill offense. So this realm of role claiming and info-dumping is foreign soil to me. I know there are definitely pros and cons, and am interested in discussing whether we think it would be helpful, and at what point in the game it might be most helpful.
I don't think a massclaim is the best idea at this point.
