A couple of things I want to understand:

If the goal is to accumulate food, that's a different matter. However, if we all use black rocks, the worst case scenario is that nothing happens and the other tribe gains no advantage over us.

I agree with this. Even if you have a cozy little pregame agreement with your opponent, this is not the time to go yellow rock.

I think that in the traditional Prisoner's Dilemma, the altruistic mode works better because of repetitions. This appears to be a one-round thing, although we can't know for sure.

Given the fishing situation, we need that fishing gear. And I doubt that we'll get into another Prisoner's Dilemma situation with their tribe, so it shouldn't bite us in the ass. We need them down and us up, and that's that. Let's just hope they're the marks.

What are the chances that their tribe will be altruistic?

We HAVE to win, or we're all doomed. There will be no scheming, no alliances, no secrets, no alibis. No plans. And definitely no Final Four. We have to win.

You may have figured this out about me already, but if you haven't: my special attribute is my Strength. That's why I pushed for Options 1B and 2A - because they are Strength-based challenges. And the Host informed me that my Strength bonus guaranteed me to succeed in both the parts, and that I expended the minimum energy possible to do it.

I will be taking any Strength-based challenges, and I will crush them for you.

If Atamai is going to win from now on, we need to be aware of each others' strengths. I don't think there's any room for coy deception and keeping things 'close to the vest'. What's needed is coordination of talents.

I think this is my third post where I have tried to discuss how the game goes, information, secrets, or whatever. I haven't had all that much response, because I assume everyone wants to reveal as little as possible because they think it will help them win. Let's change that attitude. Atamai has to win BEFORE you each individually can try to win. Atamai is your only alliance, because if Atamai loses, you lose. Period.

Quin tried to start a fire, but it failed. Bad luck, that.
LC attempted to build a shelter, but it was too complicated by himself. If only he had help. The team will have to work without a shelter tonight it seems.
Notsawyer and SVS went off to fetch water and came back with some!
Sorsha and Epi went fishing, but only found enough fish for themselves.

I don't know what fire does, perhaps it helps with having more energy. Like, warmer, restful sleep or something.

I don't know what shelter does, maybe energy as well.

The water situation seems optimistic, but there's no real indication of how much water they got. Enough for the whole tribe for one day? Is a two-person water trek necessary each day? Can we store water across days?

So everyone is hungry except for Epi and Sorsha. If choosing to fish always results in food for one, then we all have to fish every day, and we'll die of thirst. I believe the food situation has to change. Maybe walking around the Island will yield some mangoes or something.

Eight of us left. Two on shelter, two on fire, three on fishing, one on water? That is one way to go.

I think that's the best course of action, we don't need disagreement right now. You just need to bold:

Ok, assuming that Quin completes the Shooting Hoops leg of the Challenge... and Epi and notsawyer agree to go Option 1b and Option 2a... then that means either sig or MP07 can do the knot-untying.

How much time do we have left? I will take knot-untying and default one of those guys into leg 4 in my place, if they're not going to show in time. Just because the knot-untying looks like an interactive one that we CANNOT default a no-show to. I think a no-show can do leg 4.

Well, at this point, I don't think it is a problem, we're a team until the point when...we aren't anymore, lol. And at that point I am not sure if it is not out of our hands. I think it would be wise, though, to, should we get temp night BTS with anyone on the other tribe, we not fill them in on our strengths, weaknesses, etc. For the forseeable future, it is us against them. I assume we will merge tribes at some point? Then things will re align. But if we want to win these challenges, we need to understand our own strengths and work with them.

That said, I don't have any strength or other kinds of bonuses. I do apparently have a higher hunger level, but no specific "strengths" outside of thirst, hunger, strength.

But you seemed to imply you had nimbleness here:

And furthermore, there's a lot of information in my role PM. Like, character traits, hobbies, and more. And without giving anything away that I assume you all don't know already: the second line inside the spoiler tag is something that I don't get at all, but I'm pretty sure it's something I don't want to be sharing publicly, due to its very nature. But I don't know why I have this information.

I even have another player who is my enemy, in a way.

Does everyone prefer to just not talk about any of this?

Epi, perhaps it would be wise to arrange a few extra folk from outside the game that you can offload riddle work to at the appointed time. None of us can help, but I see no reason why you couldn't have a few respected colleagues ready to try their brain at it.

Yeah... shooting 8 heavy balls would drain 80% of on player's starting energy. Even spread across three players, that's a heavy toll.

I think that the naps and walks should go more toward those who expend more energy getting us a Challenge Win. I assume the Challenges will often take more energy than camp chores.

The water puzzle may be some variation of the classic "make 4 L from a 3 L and a 5 L jug".

I'm pretty strong, so I'll volunteer for part 4, Level 2, Option A: Run up a slippery slide and pull yourself up.
