Re: Classic Super Mario Bros. [Endgame]

It wasn't your case so much Russ, but the other actions and evidence. I think it was clever after Elo was lynched to spin it back on the trio. Once you led the roxy voters bandwagon and MP was lynched instead, it just gave it away that there were baddies trying to get her lynched so Roxy was probably civ. Since we knew MP was bad it only worked that SVS was bad if she and MP faked that big hullabaloo in the beginning. That left LT and I thought it was probably a good way to hide a baddie amongst the three and distance yourself. It just kept looking more like her. LT voting Mongoose as a throwaway confirmed it more and her Mongoose it a big bad baddie post had me laughing so hard. I just couldnt see how she wasnt bad after that. So it wasn't your case, but more that it started falling apart based on other evidence.

I think you're right Bullz, this game was actually much closer than we realized. The last night kill surprised me. How did that happen btw? Also, it seems a risky move to have picked 10 as the voting number. There were only 11 voters total that day. Why not go for something safer and more guaranteed like 6 or 7?

Yes, I meant letter Rob! Water?? Hilarious we avoided it the whole game.

Snow, I will try not to ruin your next game through my mistakes. :hugs:
You died because we wanted to change my role to a Bob-Omb and Epi met us halfway by saying whoever voted me last would die. He allowed this because he'd forgot to tell us about some coins we'd won or something. BWT's night kill happened because LT was told to send in the names of whoever she wanted dead. Like a good baddie she sent in everyone's :feb: but Epi told her to narrow it down so BWT got the chop. I'm surprised people carried on being suspicious of Roxy, I thought it was reasonably easy to figure out she was the air king because nobody was coming off the polls but the Air King hadn't been lynched. To be fair though, I only realised this because I was deliberately trying to work out who everyone left might be so if people hadn't thought hard enough about it I can see why they'd miss the clues.
Ugh, really, the last voter for you? I based my whole strategy that day on the fact that the number picked would most likely be lower than 7 or 8, so felt safe voting once we had 9 voters. This also means that the dead and non-player votes didn't matter. Kinda feels like a random kill now. Why not just write in secrets for the day or tell civs that the role was not the one shown?

Epi- were the baddie allowed the NK in the game to balance things out? or due to coins?

Then there was the tied lynch between BWT and myself. If it weren't for that then we'd have won in water world I think (based on presumable numbers) or at least won shortly after. I personally remained optimistic about our chances up until the tied lynch and regularly pointed out ways we could still win. Honestly we could've even had the game right at the end if Elo hadn't come back and SVS had trusted LT.
From the beginning, I thought that among the baddies were Roxy, Rusti, and LT. So, if the game had played out differently, I could have been convinced that Roxy was the last baddie, but LT was already under so much suspicion.

It was around 60 IIRC, but if it makes you feel any better that's about the only time our plans actually worked and even then it almost didn't. Russti was Boo that day, and Hedge said in the thread she was voting for him but apparently didn't in the poll so we still got to rob someone. We chose you because you'd won that vote contest thing so probably had the most out of anyone but us. Most of our plans got screwed up by those meddling civs.
My bad. I left the thread forgetting to click the vote button, but thought ai had voted russti. Epi was kind enough to remind me I missed the vote and took 10 of my coins. we did really try to spread the vote around for that reason, but I was worried that Snow had quite a lot of coins at that point.

Yeah, BWT. I was so bummed to get so close, but really glad Mongoose kept the eye on the prize and everyone pulled together for the win. Awesome that at least one player got a 1 up in nick of time!

I agree this was a bit harder for mafia to win, but they came really close in the end with those last kills. I liked that there were more conclusive ways to deduce mafia as well this time. Although I was pretty sure russ or bullz was bad the moment Nev died.

Re: Classic Super Mario Bros. [Day 10]

Ugh, just typed up this whole thing and it got erased. sigh...

Point I was trying to make. The Vomps vote is definitely worth speculation. Just saying it isn't confirms it for me more LT.

Here are the facts:
LT voters: Mongoose, Vomps, BWT, SVS
Vomps voters: Russ, Bullz
(Hedge had vote taken by hammer, LT did not vote)

Two bad roles had +4 votes, we know Russ was one.

Scenario 1: Bullz is civ, but LT is a baddie

LT: 4
Vomps: 5

Vomps is lynched. This means LT must be the other bad role with 4 votes. But why would baddies buy the role and then waste it? This also assumes that no civs bought fire flowers to up their vote and Vomps did not buy a mushroom to try and protect himself.

Scenario 2: Bullz is civ and one of the bad voters is among the LT voters.
LT: 7
Vomps: 5

LT would have been lynched. This did not happen so this scenario does not work.

Scenario 3: Bullz is a baddie
LT: 4
Vomps: 8

Vomps is lynched. This is the scenerio I think happened.

Scenarios 1 & 3 are possible, but scenario 1 still means LT is bad. So either way Bullz and/or LT are baddies.

The END! :daisy:

Mongoose- you're right. i meant throwaway from a civ perspective. If LT is a baddie then it makes a whole lot more sense. Baddies cant use fire flowers or buy other items though, so she would have to rely on others following her vote.

Re: Classic Super Mario Bros. [Day 10]

ALL DEAD AND NON-PLAYERS PLEASE VOTE IN TODAY'S POLL!!!

Piranha Plant kills a player based on the order they vote. It killed Lizzy when she voted number 6. Since Roxy will most likely not be voting today, that leaves 6 of us left to vote. Last poll there were 13 total voters including Epi and dead players. I think it more likely they would pick a number under 7, since we never know if dead players will vote, but what do others think?

Thats my current thought plan.
I have mixed feelings on Bullz, tbh. Two lynches back, when you did not vote for Russ after you said you would, who DID you vote for that time?

Also, LTs throwaway vote for Mongoose still has me a bit perturbed. It's a thing i have seen LT do in the past, vote for her bad teammate when it is safe to do so, then point at the vote later, "Look, I voted for the baddie days before anyone else did".

This post sums up a lot of my focus for today.

It's really not that bad, espeically considering Day 1 was a lot of OT. I think it's inconsiderate to ask us to rehash our positions because of your absence and threaten us with your vote if we don't comply, and I'm not going to do it. Vote me if you must, but I'd prefer you do your own readthrough and make an educated decision.

And Bullz, no idea about MP. I mean, he is our foe, so technically we'd all we right in voting him, but since he still seems dead t might not be very productive.

Linki: Never mind.
I agree, I think my exhaustive account yesterday of what I've done for the civ cause, why I voted for you, and I why I won't be voting for you today was adequate.

And all, we shouldn't assume that out of Bullz and BirdwithTeeth only one is bad. I've not suspected Bullz as much as some of you but many have seen the case.

Also, I think something is screwy with what BWT said happened to him. So were you Goomba'd (which would be by the Grass King) or Frozen (Frozen would be duplicative in parts to the Grass King's abilities, but it would alert us that there were at least two kings voting for BWT yesterday. This doesn't prove BWT's guilt certainly, but definitely demonstrates that at least two civs think he is suspicious).

That said, I know what it's like to be as busy as BWT, and that's definitely a position I empathize with. Anyway, I want to give him some time. Time to hear from him on what he has done for the civ cause, as well as answering all the questions he asked from Russti, Bullz and myself. What's good for the (Mon)goose is good for the Gander.
I wasn't both Goomba'd and frozen. I was Goomba'd, yes. But someone else also used a Music Box on me, which seems very similar to what the Ice King can do. I couldn't post or vote because of that box.

Russ, the reason I asked for those summaries is because I actually don't have time to go back and read through the majority of 28 pages right now. I wish I did, but I don't have the luxury of that time. Hence why I asked for brief answers to a few questions. I wasn't expecting a novel back from any of you, just some information. And idk why you didn't want to give that to me. Afraid to self-incriminate maybe? :eye:

As for lynching LT, it's something I've gone back and forth on. On one hand, I can understand her not having a lot of time for this game. But at times, I feel like she alternates between posting a few thoughts and vanishing off the face of the earth. Not to mention the fact that I'm pretty sure you're bad doesn't help my decision any.

I'm willing to go along with an LT vote today. If she comes up baddie, you're probably off the hook for now. However, if she comes up civvie, Mongoose, then you're definitely getting my vote on Day 9.

Votes LT
I would like to voe Mongoose, she has been tickling my brain for a while now. I will say though that this post is so well done of Mongoose, but looking at it with a different eye, I could see Bullz being bad, as i am pretty positive that Mongoose is. She very subtly pushes away from Bullz in her portion, then while lumping BWT & Bullz together, pushes TOWARDS BWT. Which, from the Wifomy perspective, could also be distancing.

So since I cannot read Bullz for shit, and he knows this, I will have to trust you guys. If he comes up bad, I really, really think BWT likely isn't (and I tend to read BWT fairly well, but he has said and done a few disconcerting things that seem, now that I have read back, somewhat although not totally, opportunistic). Conversely, based on my reread of them today, if Bullz comes up good, then I am going to be looking harder at BWT. MUCH harder.

In either case, I can't feel comfortable trusting Mongoose.
I thought I had responded to your post about my saying I was voting russ and then not following through. I now remember i typed a long thing, it was erased, so I went to sleep instead.

This is not what my posts states for the record. I said 'i think' I will vote Russ once and then I stated later I would vote for a roxy voter. You are right I did not vote for Russ, but based on what was happening in the forum at the time with russ, mongoose, and bullz voting bwt, this was a smart move on my part. Bwt would have been lynched otherwise, but I tied the vote. I did not intend to shame you for your vote at all. Reading back I forgot you mentioned weather, so you had to vote quickly. i woud suggest evryone reread the posts from the July 23rd day. Everyone's votes seemed odd to me during that lynched, based on what changed last minute. LT was an obvious throwaway vote for Mongoose. But I can go back and make cases if people need more evidence.

Looking at the voting record it has to be Bullz. How else could Vomps have been lynched? That cant be explained away I am almost sure, but if someone wants to try I am all ears.

If people dont trust Mongoose, thats fine. We can still lynch another baddie before we make the final call I think. However, there is enough evidence in the game at this point to make some pretty factual obaervations, so I think theres good evidence to suggest LT and Bullz.

Oh come on. It's obvious a water role voted for Vomp and it wasn't me so it must have been him. I'd guess you were the other but the Grass King targeted you and made your power pointless, which would make Mongoose Bowser. I can't see any other explanation for what happened.
I can think of one. :p

Well out of you and your teammates he was the first I thought might be bad. Really I might have voted for any of you though.
Hedgeowl wrote:Well Vomps, it looks like you are the target today. Sorry if we lose you like this. My vote has been taken away, so I am no help. Mongoose, I can think of a really good reason they would vote Vomps.

The only way we can possibly save you is if SVS votes LT too, everyone buys a fireflower and Vomps buys a mushroom. Then the vote may be tied, but we dont know what king powers, etc are in play for others. If LT is bad and the cheep cheep role, then she already -2 votes and it wont help.

Might be worth a shot, but we still might be able to pull this off in the next lynch if all four civs alive vote the same.
As if LT won't die today :haha: I bet she's already got more votes than there are civvies left alive. I take it you got goomba'd Hedge? Looks like at least one other person knows what's up.

Come on, you guys can pretty much drop the act now I think. You've all been leading the thread for a while now, buddying up to each other and following each other's 'suspicions'. You've pretty much won the game anyway and you did a good job of it but I'm not going to give up so easily. Hopefully I'm not the only one to have noticed the little group of Hedge-Mongoose-Vomp who've clearly been running this game for days and leading people to lynch a bunch of civvies. Honestly though, I wasn't expecting Russ to follow me. Maybe I'm wrong about one of you and he's your well-distanced teammate.
I could respond to this, but we will know the answer when the poll ends this morning.

Ballsy statements there Bullz. I guess we dont have a smiley for that cause it might be a little vulgar. on a side note, do people see truck balls where they live? They have made laugh so hard and yet be mildly horrified at the same time. :haha:

LittleTiger wrote:I strongly object! Also, S~V~S, when I voted there were still 3 votes outstanding, your vote was as throwaway as you consider mine to be. I was more convinced on my case regarding Mongoose and since I didn't have time to research anyone else, and had already made a case I went with that. Which is probably what you will say regarding your vote.

Of course Mongoose wants to see me lynched! Because I made a case that is pretty damn strong against her.

Linki: And it seems she is already making plans! :|
Irregardless of cases, none of the last few lynches have gotten full partcipation. With so few voters every vote counts. We lynched MP with two votes. Neither SvS nor your vote LT helped the civ cause. There were already 4 votes out there and Bullz was holding off to see if he needed to save himself as discussed in the thread.

Also, Russ and Mongoose, I forgot to say that the reason I wasnt going to vote bwt if all three of you did was then it was clear to me that at least one baddie voted for him, he was more likely to be civ.

Bwt, i dont think I follow your logic on why there was a baddie in your voters. It was a tie vote, so no one died and none of the baddies listed were goombas, so they all had votes.

Vomps- agreed. Although I think there is no hope tomorrow. They will have potentially the power of 9 votes if they buy both roles.

Lizzy wrote:Thanks, Vomps! :hugs: But voting for someone who voted for me is not recommended, because while one (two tops) from the baddies' team might have voted for me at one point or another, it is in their interest to keep me alive because the attention is on me and not on them k. So looking at voting patterns I have 3 (three) suspects: Bullz, MP and SVS. While I found the exchange between the latter two to be a delicious performance of two people with BTSC, the fact that it was so early in the game, might prove me wrong. The nice online randomiser suggested Bullz out of the three.

"votes Bullz"

... and since Snowy's out and there's no point in water taunting anymore, the same nais randomiser suggested desert.
Lizzy wrote:Hai!

I don't see a potential case on Russ (yet). Looking back at MP's posts, the names that have appeared on his suspect list, the voting patterns of some people, and the fact that I have been consistent with my suspects and voting, Imma gonna vote Bullz again today k. The Sock's suspect list consisted, obviously, of people who have ended up being civvies, people who I am fairly sure are civvies because of the nature and mild aggressiveness of his posts towards them, Russ included... and someone I consider to be a team mate of his, for a 'just in case situation', who has only been mentioned here and there, but that was it. That person is Bullz. I find his posting style in this game quite similar to mine back in the ol' Thomas days, and his replies to accusations extremely calculated, rational, non-defensive, like the very good psycho student that he is. ^___^

I know I said I won't look at my voters, but one in particular seems fishy at this point: bwt. His voting style is the exact opposite of Bullz's - while the former jumps on bandwagons hoping peut-être, to get lost in the crowd, the latter has been avoiding them, perhaps to avoid the responsibility of voting off civvies (like I used to do back in the day k).

Butt for now... *votes Bullz*
Alright, here's basically what I found about why Lizzy suspected you. She's dead, but if you'd like something to address here are a few arguments about your voting patterns and posting style this game.

I did read over your responses to my original case and we had a back and forth discussion on your suspect water vote, which you agreed was a bad reason.

Bullzeye wrote:
Vompatti wrote:I know I said BWT or Russ, but now I'm not so sure about either. I could possibly see myself voting LT just because I see no evidence of her being civ.

What do you all think about Bullz?
I keep forgetting BWT is even here. I think he's pretty blendy and may vote for him but I'd also consider a vote for SVS as I've not seen anything to convince me she's not a baddie yet. As for LT and Russ, no idea either way.
Your reason for voting bwt is not any better than the reasons others voted for you. The dialogue with Vomps doesnt provide any better reason to vote Bwt. You dont bring up the roxy vote from bwt. You suspect him, but then act like its just to protect yourself that you vote him.

Your defenses seem weak this game and maybe thats cause you're civ. But, I think you can understand where at least some of the suspicions comes from. No one's convinced you're bad, but suspicious? Yeah. i am suspicious of 6 people right now, but have to vote for 1.

In fact everyone is doing a great job between lt, russti and, mongoose of not looking any less suspicious. am lazy this afternoon, but I wrote stuff about Bullz earlier if you want to look it up for why we are looking at him. I will say this right now, if mongoose, russti, and lt vote for bwt, you can be sure I am not voting for him. With two possible baddies amongst the four its a huge red flag. If we are wrong about bullz, then heck it could be all 3 of them!

Linki- well LT it's your move now. Are you voting for bwt too?
I have to say, this is a damn frustrating post. Hedge, I'm pretty sure everyone you mentioned has responded to your concerns. I really don't know what you want here. This basically says to me that it's not possible for any of us to do anything that will change your mind. That's really a shame, because the entire thread is listening to you right now since it's fairly obvious you're civ. I agree that there are definitely baddies in that group. I guess I just want you to know that it's no fun having absolutely no chance of convincing you I'm not one.

I also thought this was extremely well-put:
Mongoose wrote: So everyone suspects BWT but then when Russti and I decide to vote for him, that makes that us suspicious? Come on, y'all.
That's a bit ridiculous, and again, frustrating.

Also, LOL @ S~V~S for throwing away her vote and then calling out LT for doing the same.

I can completely understand your frustration Russti. I am befuddled and frustrated myself this game. I understand that no one can defend against the fact that they voted for roxy. Its a tricky position to be put in. The reason I suspect there are two baddies amongst the 4 is I bought a fire flower. So the vote had to be 2 for roxy and was 3 for mp. Ties as we saw lead to no lynch. Therefore I assume there were two no votes.

I also dont know who to trust and as you pointed out when SVS and LT basically throwaway their votes when they could have helped if they were civ, it makes my head spin more. Plus, with votes missing every lynch its hard to know if there are even enough civs left to win if we spread it out.

You and mongoose are frustrated, not being able to prove you are civ, bullz is coming across as personally offended that he is suspected. Among the 9 players , 3 are bad. I am pretty confident of Vomps, roxy, and me. So that leaves 6 with 3 civs. Maybe you, mongoose, and Bullz are all civ, I really dont know at this point. I have a reason to suspect you and/or Bullz, but I might be wrong and the timing was pure coincidence.

Which means they took someone elses vote and that surprised me. Maybe they took bwt's vote, so he coudlnt protect himself. I have no idea right now, but I know I suspect LT now more. I think part of the problem is that the civs there are dont agree. Definitely would like to hear from bwt now!
I'm not sure I follow you, Hedgie -- what was the criterion that had to happen in order for no one to be killed tonight (aside from poor Lizzy). Who could have taken BWT's vote (other than the Ice King freezing him)?
Might not have been very clear about that. That was the power of one of the baddie roles today yes? To make one of our votes useless. I assumed it would be me or lizzy cause we lynched mp, but it wasnt because there was a tie. So that made me wonder if the plan was to vote for bwt, then maybe his vote was taken. This is wild speculation, but just thinking out loud.

Also, mongoose, I dont if we will fair too well in this game, but good luck to all!

I feel like that about this whole game. people seems to be forming and reforming alliances. Seems baddies are really good at aligning themselves with others.
