Re: AMERICAN GODS~ Day 10

funny story, don't know if this should be red or green, but I'll stick with red. Our local newspaper has only one photographer on staff, so the reporters frequently have to take their own pictures. At the camera station, there is a sign that says "find someone with teeth". Sometimes the story has to run without photos!

Zeus was a cruel god, but his avatar makes him look so sweet. This is deceptive, isn't it? And yet, I still feel kind of safe with him around. At least, I think I do. His instincts seem very discussable. Is that a word? But he might be lying, as cruel gods often do. But just look at that face, no way could that face be dishonest. Well, I'll just think about Zeus tomorrow.

I reread mars and vesta. I dropped vesta out of my current suspicions, but mars did defend herc more than once. So I'm still looking at him.

I also think that Ceres and ares need a closer look. Something about the last minute votes on Fortuna is bothering me. Granted, if they were trying to save Artemis, and she flipped civ, then I shouldn't be looking at them. If she was mr nancy, then no one would know who she was anyway, to be trying to save her. But there's always that doubt about whether someone is who they seem to be. I don't know, I'd like to hear what everyone else thinks about them.

I could be off the mark about Hercules. But I'm viewing it like this: he's been mostly absent. Then a quick insanified vote for Perse. Then says it was because of Eros, and yet, Eros votes him the next day.

Complains about taking votes for being quiet, but remains quiet. So, comparing Perse and herc, she's outspoken and mostly speaking up for fairness. He's quiet.
Outspoken vs quiet. Outspoken was nkd, quiet is still here, being quiet. :ponder:

Re: AMERICAN GODS~Day 5

I thought Zeus's point was that the three players would vote what the majority of players chose, after discussion in the thread. I can't really see a baddie coming up with this plan. But I disagree with it because I don't think our hostesses would be very pleased with people not voting.

I don't think it would be terrible if we discussed things that would help us determine who is still in the game, and who isn't. It might help us to figure out whether any of the lynched were not who we thought. For instance, I was given btsc one night by apple Johnny. Or at least that's what I thought- something happened later that made me wonder... If people can say whether they are still getting btsc as a gift from apple j, it would help me to figure some things out.

Maybe we can examine some of what we know. The poll remover person is supposed to be dead but may not be; whiskey jack is still kicking; I haven't seen any posting effects yet today, although there were 3 or 4 possible roles who could cause that. One of them is supposed to be dead, maybe the others missed voting. The person who grants btsc, I don't see anything saying it has to be kept secret. If people are granted btsc, maybe they could say so, so we can keep up with whether that person is still around.

I think I need to make a list of the players who didn't vote last time.

Do you think that's what happened last night? If Hinzelmann is still alive, then he might be among the non-voters. But whichever baddie team was supposed to kill, all of them would have had to miss voting, since any of them can do the killing. That would be very unusual, but I I suppose it could happen.

I don't mean to make things more confusing, but it's possible that Communications secret is something entirely different. Wearing the guise of another player probably does refer to the lynch, but its possible that its a nightly ability. Like Comm could take other players nightly ability and use it how he chooses. It would be a bold baddie move possibly. Too bold in my opinion. Of course you may factor in WIFOM which will bring you back to us being bad again. But that still makes it a very bold move for a baddie.

Put it this way. As a civ you see another person you think is civ being put under suspicion. How would you handle the situation? So far Athena has suspected a civ and failed to vote twice. In my opinion it is more common for civs to miss votes. Not that baddies don't. They certainly do.
Don't you think it's an equally bold move for a civvie to make? It's like saying 'here I am baddies. Come and get me/us'.

Re: AMERICAN GODS~Night Three

I'm going to try for a clean slate here. Look at things with no preconceived ideas.

I went back to the roles, and tried guessing some of the secrets. Does anyone want to venture a guess about the baddie who keeps bodies in his trunk? He has a secret and I suppose it has to do with the bodies. Either he finds out the identity of the dead, or he can resurrect them later? If its the first one, that would be kind of cool, in that the other team has someone who can appear as someone else if lynched. One baddie team might be able to catch the other in a lie, and make connections and kill off a few of the baddies.

If its a resurrecting ability, then I don't see a bright side.

Does anyone besides me wonder if all the lynchees are who they were revealed to be?

Re: AMERICAN GODS~Night Three

Eros, I know you are not obligated to respond to this, but I'm going to express my concerns, regardless. There is a target switcher in the game, and secrets. I'm wondering how sure you can possibly be about a player affiliation, considering this. Maybe I'm just a creature of little faith, but I still have some doubt here.

Zeus, I've done a reread of you, and I noted some inconsistency. Nothing terribly damning, but questionable, nonetheless.

You were happy to vote Indiana and follow Dr. Jones, but now you prefer Ohio. Info?

You also posted that you liked Tuna, so you would probably vote Artemis. (Although you had not previously mentioned Artemis)
Then someone made a post stating concerns about Fortuna, and you replied that you still didn't see much of a case on Fortuna. Then you made another post to vote Artemis. Still never mentioning anything about the case on Artemis. It sounds like your goal was not centered around comparing evidence or cases, but to make sure that anyone other than Fortuna got your vote.

I am definitely having difficulty with the open support of Fortuna, but I realize it could be for a good reason. I just wish I could calm my wariness over this.
