Voting for Mars now. Hopefully some others are willing to come vote him and save me.

I doubt I will live through this lynch and I'm on my phone so I'll make this quick. Look at the people who latched onto my case initially for weak or no reasons. I am sure you will find some baddies in there. Sucks that we lost a powerful civvie in me probably but good luck to the rest of the civs! It was a very fun game!

I would be willing to look at either Mars or Zeus today as well. Mars has been discussed plenty as it is, so I don't have much to add to him. I feel like Zeus was a bit too eager to latch onto the case against me. And I believe he even did so before Eros did. I questioned him about it but the most I remember him saying is that he'd want to get no more than himself and two other people to vote for me, which I thought was somewhat odd. But out of everyone who has voted or expressed interest in voting for me, I feel like he gave the weakest reason for going after me.

Did you read the discussion during this past lynch? If yes then you already know why people voted for you. If not start by reading Eros case about you. There were several made inre to you. Very compelling stuff imo.
I had to go back and re-read it. The only part I remembered was Eros saying he thought it was suspicious that I "doubted" him. This is the rest of what I could find.

Back and forth, you say? :ponder:

The only people you have helped lynch have been civilians. Naughty, naughty.
Yes, my voting record has been incredibly poor. I don't see how a terrible voting record alone is enough to make me a baddie. I've been an (at times) very confused civvie in this game. But I feel more certain now. And speaking of which...
Eros wrote:I also want to point out that on Day 6, Pluto voted for Phoenix sixth, after Pandora had three votes, and then it got tied up. Pandora's teammate hoping for a save? Entirely possible.
Not a save. I was unsure about Pandora (still am) and far more sure about Phoenix (still am). Pandora was at least willing to defend against her accusations. Phoenix has completely brushed them off with statements like "I am a civvie." Deflecting accusations instead of addressing them is the mark of a baddie to me.

Aphrodite seems awfully quick to jump at Apollo for discussing the 'yet' thing from Pandora and then not voting that way. I can understand why Apollo didn't vote for Pandora in that situation though.

I think right now, I'm leaning toward either Aphrodite, Phoenix, or Mars for today's vote. Phoenix because of him jumping on Apollo's theory/case and I've had bad vibes from him most of the game. Mars because he seems to have very shoddy reasons for any of his votes.

I hope Czerno's judgement was right there. While inactive players often annoy me, I know Eros felt Poseidon was civ. So not sure what to think about it overall other than hope for the best. And I agree on looking at some more inactive players. We also have Herc to go off of today as well.

I think it makes perfect sense for Hinzelmann to skip a kill or two and try to throw us off his scent. But to have missed this many kills makes me think he's among the less active players.

As for Czerno, I'm more inclined to believe/hope that whoever he/she is would hold off on killing someone unless he/she had a very good reason to do so. IMO the only thing worse than an inactive civ ninja is a trigger-happy one.

I think I've decided on my vote. Weighing the pros and cons, I feel a bit more confident about Fortuna than I do about Hercules right now. I feel like I need to give my thoughts on him a bit more time to sink in. So while I will certainly be looking at him later on (unless he does something to change my mind of course), I think there is a stronger case and I have a stronger gut feeling about Fortuna.

I went back and read through your posts. Didn't take too long since I skimmed most of the insanified ones. Is that so?

You and I have had three exchanges.

If two of these three things:

1) Calling you Dr. Phil,
2) Requesting that you form your own opinions when you asked me to "throw out a few names," or
3) Being humorous by stating the obvious

are "jumping down [your] throat," then I suppose your statement is correct.
I used that phrase because I feel like you've had a smartass attitude with me. This might make me sound like a grouchy old man, but I like to try and treat other players with respect. And I expect others to do the same. What you did was cock an attitude and try to avoid answering my questions.

Now that being said, I also believe that (in most cases), people should be allowed to play the way they wish, with the style they wish. But I do feel you've been very aggressive towards me with your attitude. And avoiding my questions initially doesn't make me feel very good about you either.

Or maybe I'm just misreading you entirely. Which is always possible. But that's currently how I feel about you.

Fortuna wrote:
Medusa wrote:Fortuna, if you are suspicious of me, I hope you will make a case on me. You, not your teammates.
First of all, I was unaware any civvies had teammates. I want a teammate! Second, this post below is what made me put my eye on you.]
This sounds too much like she's trying to sound like a civvie. And, actually, the civvies are a team. And, in fact, there are 3 civs who have BTSC, if that's what she meant.

This is also the post right after the one where she suddenly realizes that she had the most votes in the last lynch and had apparently been saved. You'd think that after seeing that, she'd go to the roles to see who might have saved her. And it happens that the lynch switch and lynch save belong to the civvie group with BTSC.

All of this just isn't adding up for me.

And I'm not really seeing the suspicion of Athena. And Apollo's case that Poseiden could be Hinzelman based on being MIA is too circumstantial for my taste.
I did mean BTSC. And, you are right, I could have gone to the roles to try to figure out how I was saved from the lynch after I found out. But, I didn't. I had so much going on at the time. With my job I'm usually crazy busy a few days out of the week. Anyway, I know you don't like the whole "I'm civvie" defense, but I don't know how to prove it to you.

linki with Medusa :p
For me, the best way to prove it is to discuss how you feel about other people playing the game. Getting as many thoughts out there as possible from as many people as possible gives us more information. Had you explained earlier that you were often busy and offered up something other than "I'm a civvie. See? Others are saying the same thing!", then I would be more inclined to believe you. Alas, at this point, I feel like you're trying to throw this out as a last-minute defense.

@Aphrodite: I completely forgot about Hercules. Especially with his Prometheus vote and still unexplained, insanified vote. I'm thinking he might be someone else good to examine for a vote. I'll try and read up on him quickly.

Linki: So Hercules votes for Fortuna to "protect himself", even though we still have a boatload of votes left to come in? :eye:

So the suspicion of Aphrodite is her missing a bunch of day votes, but always voting in the night polls without posting.

With Athena, is it still mostly because of her vs. Artemis or is there new info I've missed since then.

I can see how Poseidon could be Hinzelmann, but I'm not convinced yet. I would much prefer to hear more from Poseidon before I look more in that direction.

Eros seems very unsure of himself now, from what I can gleam.

Is that right so far or am I missing something?

Re: AMERICAN GODS~Day Four: INDIANA

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! You fools could have taken anyone, but you took my WIFE INSTEAD?!?!?! WHAT THE.....

Oh wait, if she's dead now....and I'm god of the underworld.....never mind then! I get her year-round! :yay: Don't worry, Ceres. We'll still visit for holidays....assuming you aren't up to no good. :p

I look forward to hearing from an un-insanified Artemis as well as some of her voters. I do have plans today but I'm going to try and get my head wrapped around this game more at some point today.

Re: AMERICAN GODS~Night Three

RIP Artemis! :( Why people voted for an insanified person and said it could be "faked" when there are multiple roles who could have forced you into a posting challenge/insanified you seems really suspicious to me. I think looking back at some of the Artemis voters would be a good start for Day 4. I'm also unsure about Fortuna now. I think her defenses so far haven't been very good, but I don't see Eros going so far out on a limb to defend her if she was a baddie teammate. Doesn't strike me as in the best interest of a baddie team to do so. So I will hold off on Fortuna for now.

Also going with Ohio. I feel like there's more fun stuff to do in that state than in Indiana. Both have too many farms and cornfields though IMO.

I won't be around later so I have to vote now. Going to go with Fortuna on this one.

Medusa wrote:I will probably vote Fortuna today. She is not defending, she is not contributing, and I'm unsure about Athena. I wouldn't vote Artemis even if she had not been pranked today, because I don't see a real case on her.

I am going to reread a few players, like the 2 who said they were suspicious of Persephone but didn't bother to explain why.
I don't like the thought of someone already wanting to go after someone for being a non-participant or low poster. I think there are other, more valid reasons to vote for Fortuna. Sounds like you're just trying to latch onto an easy case to me.

I thought the case against Artemis was spelled out fairly clearly. Maybe I missed something there? But given Artemis is insanified today, I think I'm leaning toward a Fortuna vote for other reasons. The most likely because I could see her being Hinzelmann or mafia.

I'm sorry. I misworded that. It was supposed to read "Apollo's suspicions". I get your reasoning behind Athena, and I could see that being a possibility. But I feel like there was someone else you were looking at today, and I can't remember who it was or what it was for.
The other suspect I am looking at today is Fortuna, because Persephone pointed out that she was saying "yes, I agree" a lot without contributing anything new, which is something baddies do a lot. She has failed to do anything to defend herself, which makes me worry about her as well.

Who are you looking at? I realize you were ketchup-bot-ified for a day, but I feel like you've been chatty without really advancing any theories of who might be bad?
Okay. Thanks for responding then. I will read back on Fortuna when I get a chance.

Honestly, I'm going off of what others are saying right now. I usually have a much harder time with sockpuppet games, and it takes me longer to get adapted to them and get into the swing of things. I promise I am trying my hardest to get acclimated with everything. And I will contribute more of my own thoughts in due time. But for now, it is what it is and I will do the best I can.

Ceres wrote:Some thoughts on this whole Arte vs. Athena business:

1. First thing that went thru my mind was: well played! Someone's trying to kill two birds with one stone. Except they missed at least one. Naturally, with Athena a target for NK-ing everyone would turn their heads towards Arte, who fortunately for them, is part of today's insanity fest, faking or not, and can't defend herself. I'll use the 'too stupid and too irresponsible for a baddie' argument again. But maybe that was exactly the point.
For me, Artemis being insanified tells me one of two things: Either someone is trying to protect her from a "mistake" she made i.e. a baddie teammate did it or someone is trying to frame her. Whether I pursue that or not depends on what her responses are once she can post normally
2. Then another thing went thru my godly head: Arte survived a lynching. How?
Again, another thing I look forward to hearing from her. If she doesn't know why though, I would lean towards some players having secret/extra votes
3. And another: so Athena is not part of the New Gods gang, but does this make her a civ? Not necessarily: there's still the Spooky people and a nice SK.
4. Another: I've played some games and since this one has a truckload of secrets, how do we know that this isn't a setup and Athena is not part of the New Gods?
I think this is one of those games where the hosts (or rather, hostesses) are going to ultimately force us to make a decision based on whatever evidence we have at hand. Hence the boatload of secrets. And I tend to wait until the last possible minute to make certain decisions in mafia, so that works perfectly fine for me.
5. I HAVE NO FREAKIN IDEA! I suspect them just as much as I did before this.
6. Not related to AvA, my gut feeling still tells me to look at both Apollo and Poseidon.

linki - lots of stuff
Could someone explain a bit more about the suspicion towards Apollo? I get the Poseidon case, even though I don't agree with it fully. But I would like to hear more on it from other players. Especially Apollo in particular if he hasn't gone into details yet. Meanwhile I will go back and try to look for what started it.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure if she'll be able to tell us. She appears to be cursed or is under some kind of posting challenge/restriction.

Still looking at Artemis for now. Hopefully further discussion reveals more possible suspects.
