Maybe hosts can give a time period, example “host posts will be sometime between 6 pm and 10 pm est” on their game sign up page. To give players a chance to decide if that will work for them.

Building cases was fun, but it took longer. The new way is much faster.

Also, thank you DDL, for the good advice! I’ll adjust to the new way, the more I play. I already love the changes in voting, like being able to change your vote, even at the last hour, and bandwagoning on purpose.

Thanks Epi for a great game! I loved the way the roles were designed, and that they were gradually being revealed.

Thank you JJJ and DUNYA for the kind words. I will try next time to just come out with it. Dunya, Gossip Girl was every bit as fun as this for me. My fun comes from playing detective and trying to peg the baddies, like reading a mystery and trying to solve it before you get to the end, so being vanilla was good for my first game back.
I think the next game I’m signed up for is an open set up, so I’ll compare the styles afterwards. If I can get past the claiming hang up, then I will definitely play another closed set up.

Trust me, a number of us brought it up. And it should have been enough in that ridiculous nonsense of a MyLo. You did your job. Something to consider moving forward though -- if you have conclusive evidence, call it 100% instead of 80.

The problem with that is I didn’t know all the roles. There could have been a role that switches peoples targets. I literally was thinking about My Old School, ‘California tumbles into the sea’, maybe the ground shifts and all targets move. I overthink things.

This game was fun, but I had just as much fun following after I died. The new style of playing is also fun, but now it’s time for me to point out one thing about old skill playing:

When a person is killed and they are revealed to be a watcher, read! My role specifically says I get the name of anyone who targets my target.
Dunya claimed that she did not target Nutella on night one and she did not target Nova on night 4. I made a case against Dunya, on day 5, a crap one, admittedly, but I was quite adamant about it. After I was killed, didn’t anyone other than Juliet’s get it? I had her name as targeting someone, I had her in my red list, anyone? How could she not target someone but I had a pic of her targeting someone?

And Elo! Oh my word, she said she did not use her power all game. Then how did I get a picture of her using her power?

It’s true that I suspected her before I got her picture targeting JJJ, but either way, I had her in my red list right before I was killed.

I was watching people saying ‘don’t vote me it’s not fair’, and watching people say ‘ok maybe I wont’. I’m like wth???? How do people play this game without using info?

[mention]JaggedJimmyJay[/mention] that’s a lot of work, thank you. I’m more persuaded by her posts with everyone overall, which feel like someone trying very hard to sound like her civ self. Her attempts to start a case on Nova, then easing up earlier on day 4 bother me. I still have her and Elohcin at the top of my list. There are others I’m not very sure about, but it’s late and I’m going to try and listen to other viewpoints tomorrow.

Well, my top suspects as of now are Dunya, Elohcin, DDL
Of the quiet ones, I’m between all of them. Leetic, Luna, and Neverwhere (who has become even more quiet).

Both are pretty commonplace. I'd generally do it in private first and then perhaps notify the players.

Does this in any way impact your perception of leetic?

Looking at both perspectives, town: could be trying to warn town not to waste another lynch
Mafia: trying to buy an extra day for his role to be replaced? If he wants out though, why not let himself be lynched? Or is his sub request a way to insure a lynch and release him from his game obligation? I don’t know how savvy a game player that Leetic is, so I would have to follow the logic and instincts of other players on him.

Are subrequests usually done in the thread now, instead of privately to the host?

Thank you. I was trying to work out logistics, I think they’re called. If Nova targeted Luna night 2, would she still have been able to be in btsc with Speed? Just trying to figure out a reason why nova moved Luna to the top.

i have suspected nova since mac flipped bad. i gave reasons why i cooled off on night 4.

you accused me of implying i knew nova was the jailkeeper. i want to know exactly where i did that.

if i were bad, and i had been reading nova as mafia since night 1, why would i begin to cool off on him before i kill him--what's my motive, what do i accomplish? nova didn’t suspect me, and i have refused to remove him from my poe--killing him while he's still a strong suspect is a better look for me.

The bold- you thanked him for protecting you, right after his role became clear. You did not acknowledge that he also Roleblocked you on a night with no kill. Until you were questioned about it.

The italics- you’re still implying things here. How do you know that Nova didn’t suspect you? He targeted you for a reason, and it could have everything to do with you trying to drum up support for a case against him.

i'll say that nova's behavior struck me as someone who had lost 2 important teammates and was laying lower than usual. he was a jailkeeper, and fair play to him to do what he had to do to not being universally town read and nk'd early.

where did i say nova prevented a kill before his flip? you're repeating mata's question, and i already answered her. i only knew it was nova who (most likely) jail kept me after epi confirmed his role. i did have doubts about my suspicions towards him on night 4, but that was based mostly on stronger suspicions towards ddl after his focused lynch pool and how i didn't see them w/w.

You didn’t say it like that, but you strongly implied it. You’re really slippery and I’m glad I started rereading you. You will most likely get my vote today, but I have some more reading to do first.

I think that out of the inactive, Leetic would be a safe bet for a vote. But I think I’m more worried about the actives right now. I feel like Nova would have been killed by someone who figured out his role. He was suspicious of Leetic, Luna, Elohcin, possibly Dunya. Lots to think about and I’m getting tired now so it will have to wait until tomorrow.

Ebwop to my last post- these posts by Dunya shading Nova happened on day 4. She did a bit of shading on night 3 and tried to draw several players into shady discussion about Nova. No one really bought into her remarks though. Her quick thank you to Nova after he flipped just really bugged me, in light of her trying to make him look bad.

Then she knows what happened on night 2, but not night 3.
She makes a comment or two, to Jay and to DDL, sounding like she wants to hint that Nova is not super trustworthy, but drops it. Although it’s noted that DDL didn’t answer her.

Then she seems to know that Nova protected her on night 3, the night she said she didn’t know about.
I can’t follow any of the conflicting comments that Dunya has made, and make sense of them.

Minor groan: the emojis were shite and offer less tangible communication than the other methods he's used. So those sucked. He hasn't wholly relied upon them though so whatever.

On day 4, Dunya asked you if you thought nova was mafia (pocketing), and earlier, she said that she knew what happened in night 2, but not on night 3 (with the no-kills). But right after Nova was killed, her first post was thanking him for protecting her on night 3.
