And I have to say, Epi did really well seeing as he had a rather limited role.

Actually, it makes sense to me. We got one baddie right off the bat, and Epi saw connections MP made to teammates, and it just got on a roll from there. It's not like Epi was randomly going after completely unrelated people and they all just happened to be on the same team.

I feel like Boogs has an obsession with Snow Dog.

Well, that was unexpected. I have to agree with Llama though, it would be extremely risky for him to intentionally lead a lynch on a civvie.

And I vote to pay the toll. I dislike breaking laws and besides, we don't want to get in trouble with the local authorities.

RIP DP and Juliet. I have a feeling we'll be seeing Dom again, or else the host wouldn't write "presumed killed".

I'll get to work on my artwork later, and in other news I'm still looking at Mongoose today. I think her suggestion that Goblin town would waste a lynch save on someone not on their seem just seems desperate.

I'd rather leave the spiders for the Elves to deal with.

I assume one of them is dead. Of those listed, I believe juliets has been the most chatty in the past, so I am guessing it is her for now. Let's see if others check in.

It would be nearly impossible to tell if DP is dead considering his post frequency. We've still got awhile to work that one out anyway.

I do think it's suspicious that Mongoose's defense is "Look at all these baddies I voted for!" when all of said baddies are on the same team. That sounds a bit like smoke and mirrors to me.

I don't know, Boogs is reading civvie to me. I think he was probably honest in trying to tell us what happened.

I do think the earlier points about Elo are on to something, so I will vote her.

In the book, Bombur fell into the forest river and was in an enchanted sleep for several days, so I don't want to try swimming across. I'll look for somewhere else to cross.

This is a lot to try to sift through. I do think K4J is sincere, and that it's a bit odd there's so much discussion about him, when I really don't see it.

Mongoose is reading like a frustrated civ to me as well.

I'm not sure about Dom.

I think FZ's line about nobody following her for Rey was pingy, and she seems rather opportunistic, going either for K4J or Mongoose, seemingly because everybody else is. I will be *voting FZ*

I think there might be something to the Daisy/MP thing, but I'd like to hear more from Daisy before coming to a conclusion.

I think Hedge is being normal Hedge.

Nonplussed means "confused", so it seemed to me like TH used it correctly.

I do think it was odd that INH reacted rather strongly to Juliet, but this is pretty standard for him. Right now I'm not really suspicious of either, or anyone, for that matter, so I randomized and got FZ.

Ok, I can see some problems with this. What denominates "filler"? Is it OT posts? What about posts that are only half OT? Are those considered one half in your scoring system? What about jokes? If I post a suspicion of someone, and add a joke at the end, does that count as "filler"? Also, if I post 8 "filler" posts and 2 "on-topic" posts, would I be ranked higher or lower in your magical "filler" system than someone with only 2 "filler" posts in the thread? If you deem a post to be "filler", can someone dispute that claim?

On a "serious" note, I'm not sure I like this. One of the reasons I love this site is the banter, which you affectionately refer to as "filler". Even if you don't enjoy it, persecuting those who do just seems kind mean-spirited. Also, my "strategy" is to usually sit back and observe for the first few cycles, and see what developments happen. I don't want to be misconstrued as inactive, so I post "filler", usually with some connection to the game. It doesn't mean I'm not taking the game seriously, I just play it in a different way. For you to condemn players like me because of it, strikes me as a bit rude.

I think "condemn" and "persecute" are pretty strong words here. I just took Juliet to mean that she doesn't have a real suspicion or method for choosing someone today, so she'll just vote someone who's not contributing much to discussion. That's fine for Day 1, I think.

Yay game! And great post, Russ! I loved the Beorn sequence in the book, it's a shame they changed it for the movie (although I did get my sig from that scene).
