Re: ROUND EIGHT ~ INDIAN POKER

If you'd like to spend Garnets on extra chips, please post your request in this thread. If you wish to abstain from spending Garnets, please post your refusal.

The first hand will start when both players have either requested extra chips or refused.

ROUND EIGHT ~ INDIAN POKER

THREAD-BASED - CLOSED BTSC

Indian Poker is a simple type of poker game, in which the player with the higher card wins. Indian Poker is played with 2 sets of numbered cards, each set ranging from 1 to 10, for a total of 20 cards. The 20 cards will be shuffled, and one card will be given to both players. Instead of knowing the value of their own card, they will be PM’d the number on their opponent’s card. After receiving this information, players will post an ante of 1 chip. Each player starts the game with fifteen chips. Players can also choose to spend a Garnet in order to gain 5 extra chips. The starting player (who will be randomly decided in the first round) begins the betting. After the first round, the position of starting player will alternate between the two players. There is no chip limit for a bet. There’s a time limit of 8 hours for betting, if a player doesn’t bet after that time, their opponent takes the contents of the pot.

There are three choices for betting. First, you can call by betting the same amount as the opponent. This ends the betting, and both player’s cards are revealed. The person with the highest card takes the pot. Second, you can bet more than the previous bet. In this case, betting continues without revealing the cards. Third, you can fold, letting your opponent win the round. However, if a player folds while possessing a card with a value of 10, they must give 10 chips to the opponent as a penalty. If both players have the same card, the chips from that round will remain in the pot for the next round. When a player loses all of their chips, the game will end, and that player will be eliminated.
