Re: Inception [Subconscious Phase 7]

I have three votes. One of my voters has a vendetta against me (MacDougall). One of my voters can't possibly care what happens to civilians (Master Radishes). And my third voter can't possibly be paying attention (112).

Lynching me gives the mafia an advantage in a number of ways. Of the votes I have, I have the most problems with 112, who unceremoniously voted me to tie me up like Hyena got tied up with iaafr.

There is no thought here. It's a matter of keeping the numbers right. iaafr was saved Day 6. iaafr, who does nothing but post nonsense and bullshit, will be saved Day 7 if I am allowed to be lynched.

Re: Inception [Subconscious Phase 7]

juliets wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2019 10:26 pm Ok Epi, I made a list of the things from day 5/6 that I saw as Mac being towny but it didn't really amount to enough for me to say he is a sure town. He changes his mind a lot so some of the things I remember such as he was on Eva and Elephant early in day 5 were nullified by the fact that he ended up on Hyena. I didn't really see a good reason for that when I went back and looked. He did read Michelle as town and at one point said he would follow her but he didn't do it. He read LLD as scum and I can see why given LLD's rage about nutella.

The thing that causes the biggest confusion for me is he is not supatowning. He did tell nutella we can't expect him to play like he did in champs where it was obvious he was town. And he said he was doing a lot of this from his phone and not his computer so that may be another reason.

So maybe I'm wrong and he's not town. I'm sure both Long Con and Master Radish will point to this post as fence sitting or something but I'm seeing pluses and minuses on Mac. I didn't read his day 1 because it was so long ago but maybe I'll take a look. I haven't seen scum Mac in a long time so maybe I'll look at a scum game too.
Thanks juliets. Again, I appreciate the input.

There's no agenda to his posts. He just says whatever comes to mind. His reads bounce like a yo-yo. His thought process is wild and I disagree with a lot of what he concludes, but it comes across as organic.

Also a pseudo-meta read: in MU spec chat he acted exactly like this.

This is not a good game for me decision-wise but I do tend to be wishy washy as town, less so as wolf. I'm not sure what you mean by my "tone" is "wrong". I'd like you to explain it.

I can understand if you want to policy lynch me because I have not been good for the game state but do so knowing I am town.
Don't twist the narrative - it wouldn't be a policy lynch. It would be a she-sounds-like-mafia lynch.

Your tone is one of hemming and hawing but not in a trying-to-figure-it-out way, more a trying-to-look-like-I'm-thinking way.

And yes, I'm abusing my hyphen at the moment.
You just don't know me or my game. I'm hemming and hawing because I have no idea who is bad. I don't think it's you, I don't think it's Jack but beyond that I'm just not sure. You cannot read my tone so don't pretend like you can. Just vote for me already. And it will be a policy lynch because I am not playing well and am not good for the game state. Do you deny that? If I'm town do you deny I'm not playing well and am not good for the game state? So either way, just vote for me already.
'You don't know my game' is not a valid defence.

'You cannot read my tone' is not a valid defence.

'It will be a policy lynch' is not a valid defence.

'Just vote for me already' is not a valid defence.

juliets knows people have lives. This is an excuse.

Furthermore, I ask her to comment specifically on MacDougall, and this is the best I get:
juliets wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 9:36 pm I really don't know what to make of this Epi vs. Mac thing. Mac makes a comment somewhere in one of those post walls that Epi explained things nicely to Elephant while only hurling insults at others. I feel like whatever that thing was that happened in the dream levels is affecting people's reads of each other so I'm not fully trusting of either of their reads. I really want to know what Jack and Master Radishes are seeing since they are from that world.
No stance and talking about dream levels that don't mean anything at this stage.
People are just ignoring my questions about them. Then they can come back later and say "juliets asks questions but never follows through". Hyena was one person ignoring me and I had asked him a question that was important to my read on him.

I wasn't answering your question on Mac. I was giving my feeling about the situation.

Anyway, I'm not scum no matter what people think. I just haven't played well.

This is a post a mafia makes more than a townie makes. The tone of it, the message...this is a scum trying to look solvey.

And to answer his post contained within,

-Connection to Drago: Epi was a 112 voter. It came really early, but it was still a strange vote, considering his (later) justification was 'Eh. Would lynch. (Great start, right?)'. He was around at that EoD and barely engaged in the Drago/112 wagons; he himself was a counter-wagon and he didn't even vote Drago to self-pres.

-Connection to Evenstar: At the start of D2 Epi posted his wall of Drago-connections for each player. His one for Evenstar was bleh. He quoted a bunch of NAI posts, said they looked good, and concluded with 'I don't think I need to see more' (can't find link, sorry). It was lacking, like he didn't expect us to read his posts. I called him out on it immediately, as I had clocked Eva as scum at that point. Later, in D5, as I again made a push on Eva, he again insisted he would not vote for her for a series of circumstantial reasons. He didn't put his foot down or anything, just commented on why it was a bad vote and moved on.

-Connection to Elephant: TBD, I don't have time this morning to trawl through his ISO. But someone said he defended him? He certainly didn't vote for him despite there being two very clear wagon choices at EoD.

Epignosis is likely scum. I'm not as confident as I was with Eva, but of the remaining players he is low on my list.
I'll save you the trouble.

I didn't want Elephant lynched.

Now, if you please, answer my four questions. If you believe I'm bad, you have to believe these things are true...

Re: Inception [Subconscious Phase 7]

I hate using that language ("I swear") but I think at this point, I should be cleared based on how Dom was treated. I stood up for Dom. I would not be cool being on a team that acted like that toward him. He talked about this himself.

Yeah that. I wasn’t around obviously so I don’t know anything about vote order and the like.

I could be way off base but from my POV it’s noteworthy that at least two scum coordinated onto 112. Might be prudent to consider that it really was, or at least became, a counterwagon.
I won't argue this point. My goal would be to preserve the Godfather.

Evenstar's goal was too, but she acted like it was stupid and fought me on it. I can produce the interaction if you need it. It's already in here somewhere.

Re: Inception [Subconscious Phase 7]

I'm just going to say this:

If you vote for me and you are a civilian, you should be able to look at the four questions I asked and satisfy yourself. If you cannot do that, then you shouldn't vote me. If you will not do that, then you shouldn't bother playing Mafia, should you?

If you vote for someone, please for the love of God and all that is holy be able to show why that person is guilty with regard to the three mafia members who have been shown to be mafia.

If you vote for someone on the basis of "This living person likes this living person so they are teammates," you are getting voted for, motherfucker.

How are you figuring that? I was one of (if not ) the first voter on 112.

Then do your own goddamn research. It's Day 7. Make an independent decision on her.

Re: Inception [Subconscious Phase 7]

I'm going to give MacDougall this much: He's tying me to mafia lynches.

While I would love to lynch him, he's doing what I asked all of you to do in spite of himself.

Talk about juliets now.
