Spoiler: show
A game for 28-30 players, TBD.

I put this on pause while Turf Wars was ongoing, but with Turnip Head's help I've made a good amount of progress. Since coming to the Syndicate I've been pleasantly overwhelmed with the complexity and creativity of all of the setups I've seen, and I've been drawing inspiration from a lot of things I've seen in my time here while also trying to make a game that is unique. I'll start updating bits and pieces of this thing as I work on finalizing it.
A rough outline of what I have so far:

Town (20):
Each Fringe team operates as its own faction within the larger town faction. Fringe teams need to remove all threats to the Town in order to win. In addition to this, Fringe teams may or may not also have unique win conditions.
The members of each Fringe team exist in separate universes. This impacts certain roles and targeting abilities in the game.

Fringe Team 1 (6) -- Universe 1

Image
Walter Bishop (I) - Each night, Walter can give a 1-shot item of his choice to a random member of his Fringe team.

Image
Olivia Dunham (I) - On Odd nights, Olivia may investigate a player.

Image
Astrid Farnsworth (I) - Gains BTSC with a random Fringe team member each night.

Image
Philip Broyles (I)- Each Odd Day, Broyles can learn the role of a dead player from his universe. At night, he can share the role of a dead player with one of his agents.

Image
Lincoln Lee (I) - Gains BTSC with a random member of the opposite Fringe team on Odd nights.

Image
Charlie Francis (I) - Each night Charlie can offer backup to one of his Fringe team members, preventing them from being roleblocked. If that player is targeted to be killed that night, Charlie will die in their place.

Fringe Team 2 (6) -- Universe 2

Image
Walter Bishop (II)/Walternate - Each night, Walter can give a 1-shot item of his choice to a random member of his Fringe team.

Image
Olivia Dunham (II) - On Even nights, Olivia may investigate a player.

Image
Astrid Farnsworth (II) - Each night Astrid can track or watch a player of her choice. Tracking will allow her to identify who that player targets. Watching will allow her to identify who targets the player.

Image
Philip Broyles (II) - On Odd days, Broyles can learn the role of a dead player from his universe. Can coordinate with a Fringe team member each night.

Image
Lincon Lee (II) - Gains BTSC with a random member of the opposite Fringe team on Even nights.

Image
Charlie Francis (II) - Each night Charlie can offer backup to one of his Fringe team members, preventing them from being roleblocked. If that player is targeted to be killed that night, Charlie will die in their place.

Civilians (7-8)
Civilians, with the exception of Peter and Bell, are not restricted to one universe or the other and can be assumed to exist in both simultaneously. They win when all threats to the town are removed.

Image
Peter Bishop - Universe 1. Each night starting with Night 2, Peter can hunt for Shapeshifters. Both Fringe teams are not able to win in unison unless... [Secrets]

Image
William Bell - William Bell can cross universes at will. When he does this, he may also take a player of his choice with him, removing them from the poll that day. [Secrets]

Image
Nina Sharp - Nina is privy to certain information in the game which she may elect either to keep for herself or share with the thread.

Image
Henry - Henry can pick up one player each night in his cab and safely escort them out of town, preventing them from being targeted by any other night actions.

Image
Brandon Fayette - Each night Brandon can give a 1-shot item to a player of his choice.

Image
Markham - Occasionally the Fringe teams may be sent to Markham for information and assistance.

Image
Sam Weiss - TBD

Anti-town/Independent: (8)

Shapeshifters (5)

Starting Night 1 the 3 Shapeshifters must alternate kills until all living Shapeshifters have performed a kill and assumed another identity. After their initial kills, Shapeshifters will be confined to whichever universe they are in until transported elsewhere, and they may only kill players who are in the same universe as they are (Civilians other than Peter & Bell occupy both universes simultaneously, so no restriction is in place for them). Shapeshifters always have the option of assuming the identity of any player/role they kill, but it is not automatic or required after their initial kill.
Shapeshifters win when they outnumber the town, or when all town members (Fringe Teams + Civilians) are eliminated.

Image
David Robert Jones - The leader of the Shapeshifters. David Robert Jones can cross universes at will and may transport 1 shapeshifter per night as well, Jones can check a player each night to learn whether or not they exist in universe he currently occupies. [Secrets]

Image
Thomas Jerome Newton - Each night Newton may roleblock a player. Each night Newton may assist one of his teammates. [Secrets]

Shapeshifter (x3) - Each night one of the Shapeshifters performs a kill. Shapeshifters can assume the role and abilities of any player they nightkill. Can only kill players located in the same universe as them.

Observers (3)

Image
August - August and the other Observers can see all night actions as they are happening. [Secrets]

Image
September - September and other Observers can see all night actions are they are happening. September wishes to protect Peter. [Secrets]

Image
December- December and other Observers can see all night actions as they are happening. [Secrets]

I was working on this too but stalled on ideas  Let me know if you need a cohost!

:o That'd be cool. I've got a lot of the framework in place already but am far from finished. I always like to have co-host anyway and would probably need an experienced Syndicator to help me out. I'd love to have you on board if you're down. Feel free to share any of your stalled ideas, perhaps we could work both things into one game. It would be appropriate given the theme.

A thing I learned while making this game: The names of two of the main villains in the show (and this game) are references to David Bowie.
Then the episode I watched last night ended like this:
